Shanahan' 2019 49ers > Harbaugh's 2011 all damn day. knew I didn't make this thread prematurely.

Loved Harbs as a coach, but he pissed off too many refs as he would yell and scream at them. If he tells the ref to "watch this defender holding my guy on the next play," like Shanny did, the ref just looks at him and say "yeah, sure Jim" and looks the other way.
it'll be a tie in the super bowl, even though they don't allow it.
I get that people might be down on Shanny after the super bowl, but it's not even close imo.

Shanahan >>>>>>>>> Harbaugh
I just like the Harbaugh era football much better. I was more invested in the players and I liked their swag. I also miss Harbs funny one liners and overall style. Kyles interviews are boring. He's way uptight and I think he's cut throat when it comes to players. Kyle kicks players when they're down, even to the media. Harbs defended his players against the media and always preached positivity.

Well....we DID have Patrick Willis....and on a separate note, Our current D struggles against running QBs...BUT I'll still go with shanahan, I feel more confident in this team

Refs stole the Superbowl from Shanny...maybe if he called the out a little more it wouldn't have gotten out of hand like it did...

I think he should have called play action with an out

Well Harbs didn't lose the "Last" SB....ever.....
Looking back at this I think you can make the case that the 2012 team would have a better chance but not the 2011 team. 2019 would smash them. Our d had some problems with mobile qb's thru out the year and would run into a red hot Kaepernick before he was figured out. And that 12 team had weapons but our d matches up well with them. Sherman has always owned Crabs and 12 doesn't have the speed that you need to exploit them.
It's hard to say with two chokers. It'd probably end in a tie, or go on for multiple extra hours.

Yup. They both cant win the big game. Harbaugh had the superior coaching staff but shanny is a "better" genius.
Don't know. Having Aldon smith and Justin smith on that 2011 team scared a lot of quarterbacks..

Tbh I think the 2011 defense was more stingy than the 2019 defense, but both great in their own ways...

The 2011 offense strangled you to death with a slow kill, the 2019 offense had more boom to them and packed a punch..

To be honest both teams were and would be scary for anyone to play against, as was evident by how far we went with both of those teams and how both in 2011 and 2019, nobody wanted to play us..

The Kaepernick offense was a gimmick that didn't age well in a league that's constantly adapting.

That offense was 2nd in the NFL in yards per game and 1st in the NFL in points per game this season.

But regardless, talking about Kaepernick is as irrelevant in this thread as talking about Jimmy G.

2011 defense was outstanding. We gave up just 229 points that year. Even in the NFC championship game we kept the Giants in check. We sacked Ellie Manning 6 times. But our offense failing and Kyle Williams infamous blunders doomed us.
