Kap, Gore, Vernon Davis, Delanie Walker, Crabtree, Randy Moss (too open up the middle for Vernon and Walker).....that's tough to stop... the reason we were able to fight back at the NFC Championship game against the Falcons...and at the Super Bowl against a Great Ravens Defense.

Kyle wouldn't be able to run the ball against that 2012 Defense with Jimmy at QB imo... so it would be the 2019 version of Jimmy having to make plays against that defense with Justin Smith and Aldon coming after him... with Pat Willis and Bowman roaming the middle to deflect passes or ints.

I can see that 2019 DLine causing problems to Kap and that oline.. maybe even causing some fumbles. But that would have to be if we fall behind and Bosa, Buckner, and company could pin their ears back and attack....with Fred and Greenlaw waiting to destroy Kap if he ran forward. Especially with 2012 rules lol.

But I don't think Harbs would let it get to that. He would stick with the run and Gore would get those little yards needed to help us sustain yards... and key Kap rollouts. Bosa is quick, but Kap can get away from him on a rollout. Just stoping Vernon AND Walker in the middle of the field is TOUGH. And people forget, before Kittle... Vernon was a Great Run blocker... he just wasn't as exuberant.

I think Harbs would out coach Kyle.... or Kyle would out coach himself and get cute at the wrong time in a game where every possession counts... field position would count.

That 2012 Offense was special imo... mainly because of having TWO of the fastest TEs in the league, and QB who could hit them in stride in the intermediate part of the field.

I've read some absolute bat s**t comments on here, but WTF man? Are you serious with these 2 statements?

In that offense, we had multiple weapons that could score from anywhere on the field. Kap could do it with his legs... Kap could hit Vernon, Randy, Walker deep... or Vernon and Walker could take a pass over the middle for a TD. There was speed on that team to compliment teams having to worry about Gore up the middle.

As far as Harbs....his stubbornness to commit to the run and his approach to time of possession (as much as I didn't like it at times) would have came in handy against Kyle's offense with Jimmy at QB. I just feel Kyle would be desperate and be cute at the wrong time.
This thread is dumb. Neither team won a SB, so pinning both against each other is a pretty useless scenario
If it was a Superbowl facing each other they'd both find a way to lose in dramatic fashion.

I simulated the game on my computer. It's close and with the game tied 21-21 with 2 mins left in OT and the Harbaugh 49ers getting to receive the punt, you know who, Mr. Williams fumbles the ball at the 50 after a fantastic 40 yd return. Unfortunately for the Shanny 49ers Jimmy G misses a gimme 35 yd strike to a wide open Deebo Samuel in the end zone and then proceeds to get sacked by Aldon Smith on the next and final play to force a tie.

2 weeks later the combined 96 man roster of the '11 & '19 teams takes on the '89 Niners and loses 44-17.

He is eccentric. No doubt about that.

Shanny as OC and JH as some sort of hype man / motivational speaker

Jim Harbaugh as head coach and Kyle as OC would work. Jim would over ride any Bs that Kyle was trying to pull. And Jim Harbaugh knew how to coach. Played aggressive when he had to, but took the points and field position to his teams advantage.

Harbaugh's biggest downfall was Alex Smith followed by Colin Kaepernick. Kyle's biggest downfall is himself.
