Losing both starting Tackle and replacing them with rookies is one of the biggest gambles (IMO) I've seen, especially when there's a veteran sitting on the bench with starting experience. Today was Kyle Shanahan and the defenses day today!!!

i did not see the game. saw the highlights and read some of the comments from fans who saw it.. so i will say.. of course this is the truth
I live out here in Colorado and Mark Schlereth loves him some Niners. Nice to hear someone give them some recognition

you guys are lucky to see the game.. in iowa. no. but it was fun to watch dallas get beat. lol. with some of the injuries we had i figured it would be a low scoring physical game but it sounds like. the niners were the ones who threw the punches. so nice to see. having to change things up on the line on a short week and come out with that effort and supposedly a hobbled kitttle. very proud of the team

Yeah. I live in New Jersey. We have Game Pass, but we had to wait until the game was over to watch it. Boo.

When I first turn on the game-my thought was, wait are they not playing in LA? Damn the stadium was filled with Niner fans-hahaha

Lotsa Steelers jerseys in the stands at the Chargers game too. LA doesn't deserve a football team, let alone two.
After 6 weeks, the 49ers are the best team in the NFC.

Let that sink in as the world does too :)
Where is the injury report?

I suppose no news is good news here

Plus we were wearing the home jerseys.

I couldn't believe the sea of red that was there.

My sister was at the game and confirmed it was basically a 49ers home game.

Seeemed better than a home game.
I was there front row behind the niners bench it was a home game at Levi's South
I loved that play toward the end where the entire Niner front line rolled in like a tidal wave and engulfed Goff. This D is young and can be really special. It's younger than the defense we had under Harbaugh so they have a chance to be together for 4-5 years as long as we can continue to afford them.

Rams mini run is over.

I think that is tongue in cheek, but honestly, Thl, i think it is spot on. They were built to win the SB last yr and just blew it...or mcVay blew it. Actually BB and Brady beat them. And now i think , looking at their FAs next yr and the $140mil tied up in Goff....i think their run is one and done. I don't see them getting better.

Sure they have to find and sign two new OLs ...or hope these two mature. But they sure didnt show much. Once next yr hits, Rams are in deep schidt.

As for this yr and their 3 Ls in a row, the latest a true beat down...by the 9ers....and here is one that will summarize it all.

After the first rams drive, the rams gained 109 yds the remainder of the game...almost 55 minutes. Sheeze

I was being serious. They are not Super Bowl contenders with this roster they have imo. They need to rebuild their OL and their defensive backfield if they want to contend with the rising 49ers. Goff needs to continue his development where if he doesn't have a great running game, can he be a playmaking QB that his salary suggests he is. I'm not saying they are a sub-500 team, but they are not big time playoff contenders like they were in 2017/18.

The story is still predominantly how far the rams have fallen and not how good this team actually is.

They were dumb enough to let two of their three best OL go and it's over for them. Good!
His horrendous play calling and poor clock management kept the Rams in the game

Kyle makes great halftime adjustments. The Harbaugh teams lacked that badly. The halftime report that he ran off the field to get to the board to make his adjustments made me confident we'd close them out
Say what you want about Jimmy, but last year was supposed to be his growing pains year in the system where he was supposed to mess up and Shanahan gets it fixed. But he missed all of that and has to do it this year with everyone else a year ahead of him. So having a defense this dominant gives Jimmy the luxury of screwing up without it hurting the team too much. The first year in Shanny's system, the Falcons went 6-0 and than lost almost every other game following that and ended up missing the playoffs. The following year they caught fire.

So Jimmy will always be a half step behind everyone else this season. I'm not expecting him to light anything up a year removed from an ACL tear and a year behind in reps in this offense. He can be Trent Dilfer and get us enough points to get Ws.
