I was being serious. They are not Super Bowl contenders with this roster they have imo. They need to rebuild their OL and their defensive backfield if they want to contend with the rising 49ers. Goff needs to continue his development where if he doesn't have a great running game, can he be a playmaking QB that his salary suggests he is. I'm not saying they are a sub-500 team, but they are not big time playoff contenders like they were in 2017/18.
They were dumb enough to let two of their three best OL go and it's over for them. Good!
ok, Thl, we're on the same page for the rams. They made a couple serious mistakes in talent. I know they were probably overdrawn on their checking account, and couldn't afford them, but....
Letting those two OLs, (OG and C) go was horrocious mistake.
Letting Suh go, even tho he was a one yr rental....that removed the most awesome duo in DLines, of the current era. Sure Suh problably got zillions of $$ and no way the rams could afford it. But maybe , just maybe, they should have let some other player go to keep Donald and Suh together .We already beat Suh in Tampa and now Donald in LA. Both out of town games. Wow.
Those three players...the rams just killed themselves by letting them walk. Their OL got a tiny taste of our OLs the last number of yrs, once those two guys boogied. And once Suh left , Donald is all pro. But he is nowhere near half as good as Suh + Donald.
Also as it turns out, even if the two OLs woulld have stayed on, they would have fared no better than the ram OL yesterday.
So yes, rams are done , SB run has run. Now they can sit back and watch how the 9ers do it.
And Mcvay has been nice enough to say he learned everything from Kyle. But no question, Mcvay cannot carry kyle's Jock strap. Nor will he ever. He's a good OC/HC, but just isn't in the same league as kyle.
