For anyone worrying your pretty little mind as if anyone in here can jinx a game, etc...........

49ers aren't sleeping on anyone, they're going on a massacre

"No opponent is being overlooked. Not even the 1-5 Washington Redskins"

I don't see how you can say they haven't been at least a bit arrogant. They overlooked the Steelers, played very sloppily to start that game (probably didn't think they'd have to try against a backup QB making his first start). Now we've got Breida on NFL Network talking about how we'll beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. That's not something I'd want our players saying ever, but especially not after just 5 games against a relatively soft schedule.

They're a young team, so it's not surprising that after their first taste of success they might get a little cocky, but it is something Shanahan is going to have to reign in. As Shanahan has said, this league will humble you pretty quickly.

Yeah that's not true. He was specifically asked how he felt the 9ers matched up against the Pats and he said "I feel like I like our chances". Wtf do you expect him to say? At least get your info straight.

I expect him to say the responsible thing and decline to comment on teams that we're not preparing to play this week. It's not hard. Why risk stirring up controversy by saying we would beat the Patriots?

He didn't say anything wrong. You are just twisting his comments to fit this negative Nancy narrative you have with the team.

How am I twisting what he said? How else would you interpret it?

1) He didn't talk about the Patriots until asked about it, and;

2) He never said that we would beat the Patriots. He made a short, thoroughly diplomatic, typical football answer.

You have invented this whole thing. You have done this before.

How did I invent it? Are you saying it didn't happen? Because it's on NFL.com if you'd like to watch it.

I'd like to watch it again

Idk everyone says that every time. I don't think they're being overlooked but every NFL team has really good players and weird s**t can happen. But I think shanahan will have them up for this game...

Yeah you're right...this the only real bad team we'll face and it's a good thing Shanny is pumped because he hates the owner

That's right Buzz! I agree. Definitely need to get healthy and stay healthy

Yes. Very important for healthy. 49ers team should normal play against the Redskins. They should not hard play cuz they will get injury. I believe that we will win this Sunday. 49ers defense can pressure the Redskins in 4th qrts final.

The fact is that this team needs to just stay focused on whatever the next game is and not think about their record or what the outside world is saying. You wouldn't see Patriots players giving interviews about how they matchup with us. We should emulate their approach and just focus on the task at hand.

You made the provocative accusation. Your knowledge of the facts was gainsaid by another poster. The burden of proof is on you. Post the proof.

He didn't say that though, did he?

How else would you characterize it? How does talking about the Patriots at all help us beat Washington?

Still at it throwing out false comments I see...
Pathetic

Why don't you just go back to .nut
Problem is...the 49ers have shown a real penchant for committing turnovers this year, so anything can happen. That is the weakest spot, on an otherwise brilliant start.

If Washington comes out like their record suggests they will I think it would be great opportunity to work on synchronization. Work timing for routes, ball placement, etc.

Hopefully our Oline can get some well needed reps and give Jimmy more time to work on the passing game. We run the ball so much than I feel like the receivers just aren't ready when the passes finally do come.

The run game is the backbone, but they need to be able to score with the passing game and spread the D.
