WooLick, did you vote for Saleh as the primary reason for the defense's improvement?

I didn't vote because you left me no option to vote.

Saleh is the same unprofessional lunk head as last year.
It's. just. Bosa.
I'll go through a laundry list here.

DEFENSE: The 2018 49ers ranked No. 11 in the NFL in yards per play allowed (5.4). They ranked top 10 most the season. This was one of the numbers that indicated that the defensive structure was solid, but just didn't have the gunpowder yet.
And the lack of gunpowder was easy to identify: Across the board, 49ers posted a decent overall pressure rate but didn't have a QB hit and sack rate to match it. This clearly showed that edge rushers were necessary, and it's now obviously Shanahan/Lynch waited for 2019 to pounce

Ohhh so you think they all play an equal role? None more than the other? Because the question is which element is playing the largest role in the improvement. There's no wrong answer. Just wanted to see what the board thought.

A lot more changed on this team from last year than that. We signed Dee Ford in FA. Ward got healthy. Richard Sherman got healthy and back to himself. Kwon Alexander was signed. Arik Armstead and Solomon Thomas are more experienced and playing better in their roles. There is a lot more going on than Bosa. But yes he has helped this team.
