This is a fantastic site. Highly recommend reviewing before your off season plans!

The ghost of AB continues. Hopefully BuZz can replace all his work here.
"Someone was asking me, 'Characterize our situation,'" Lynch said, via ESPN.com. "It's not bleak. It's not like some people where you have to cut players just to be able to meet certain deals. I think more so understanding that there are players that are really good players we want to take care of, knowing it is tight. There may have to be trade-offs along the way. But I think we're in a good position to find a way to certainly keep the core together and even, like I said, our mindset to improve it."

An old buddy of mine always used to say, "Whenever somebody says something is not, it actually is." Its a human attempt to alleviate fears. I would read that as, "Sorry folks, but we can't keep everyone."
I'm curious what we do this off season with Beathard and mullens.

Isn't mullens a free agent? I think he is an RFA though so we can get him really cheap. Idk if we keep both though, which sucks little cause I like having both

Ohhhhh duh, you sound like those ex players on NFLN lol. Who cares about throwing the ball when you're running it for 200+ yards a game?

Except when it comes time to throw the ball to win....I mean there is that...

We save $946,000 if he is cut pre-June 1, with $176,000 in dead money.

Better to keep him around as an emergency guy than trying to save $400,000 with a rookie. (Minimum salary is $510,000.)

Mullins is ERFA with a current salary of $525,000.

Cheap pair of backups, IMO.

Sucks but I don't see any way we let either of them walk. Maybe if a trade becomes available, but even then I probably keep both.
isn' AB a free agent still? or did he get picked up by another team? we need to re-sign him to a long term deal

I hope we can move solly and Ford. Unproductive and we can find cheaper help.

Ford? Seriously?

37 sacks in the 13 games that Ford played in.

11 sacks in the 6 games Ford missed.

So essentially we averaged 3 sacks per game when Ford was part of the pass rush, and 0.5 sacks per game with him out. Anyone who watched the games this year realized he was a huge X factor for the D. Getting rid of him is the last thing we should do.

Some people just don't know what they're talking about.

This person shouldn't be able to post on here Ford is what makes that line go. Without him AA has 5 sacks. Middle of the line stays stuffed. He and Bosa make this line special. Unlocks it. If not Ford we'll have to have another fast edge on that side. We're built front 7 first. Solly prob expendable especially with DJ coming back. We're in the window so Solly is the kind of guy that will prob need to be jettisoned. CAP me this, CAP me that Haha

Forget the fact that in those 6 games were the toughest of the schedule...idiots

WE NEED AB BACK.

WHERES THE PETITION?!

sign me in already! we need AB

I miss AB in here too. I don't know the whole story but he tweeted about being mistreated on the zone and was very upset about it.
For all the dudes who s**t on AB, he just got a shoutout from David Lombardi in an article on the Athletic. Dude is special when it comes to the cap. Wish he would come back.

Dont even count on it for beathard
it's not even close
it is as well a team culture / human decision (death of brother) than a business one (cheap, savings would be marginal)

He's a great guy. Glad he's getting some respect out there.
