Yea its steady rain out here. Pretty nasty day
Just had a Skins fan friend who never talks s*** tell me in a text convo that Jimmy G was out for the game with an injury per the NFL Network.

I wasn't frightened I guess because it's the Skins, but I quickly jumped on the Zone main page, JG thread, google, twitter, found nothing.

He mentioned it was a groin injury. I said "you sure it's not kittle?"

Then he comes back "oh it was your receiver...…", and I was able to guess it was Samuel which he confirmed.

WTF?? How do you possibly screw that up? Hungover?

Niners 16
Foreskins 14

I mean this is the stuff SF is built for...pound the ball and stopping the run. I don't see SF changing anything from what they've done this yr

The running game is built on speed and perfect timing, not power, which is what a nasty field usually resorts to.

LOL. I love the over confidence. It's been a LONG time since fans were like this.

If ever we were going to have a challenging game due to field conditions, let it be against the Skins for good practice.

Their defense is perhaps underrated. I think their O sucks because of QB situations, but their D is not garbage whatsoever.

You might want to consider getting a better friend? Kidding...

True. I actually see this as a good test. They absolutely need to start winning with some power too for future short yardage, goal lines, when trying to run out the clock, etc. That's always been a weakness so great chance to build on a running game that's already very diversified in scheme and just mano y mano.

LOL, he'll be gently reminded not to make such a massive mistake ever again.

Washington is 1-5 and giving up 27.8 ppg, while also ranking 28th against the run. Not sure you need to be over confident to pick a relatively easy 49ers win.
Hell ya suckas, it's game day, go 9ers!

They ran plenty of IZ in the cinci game. Go tell mike shanahan who coached in Denver for yrs he can't run in s**t weather

Run blocking is run blocking and it's all about timing regardless of anything. Gotta remember it's not just the offense that's dealing with s**t weather, the defense is the one that has to read and react just as much if not more.

SF stops a crappy DC running game and they win.
