During the '94 season the Niners were rolling and on their way to winning #5. But one game I remember was the 40-8 drubbing by the Eagles where nothing went right. It felt to me that the team was smelling themselves and let it go to their head and they got steamrolled and that put them right back on track.
Does this year's team need to get blown out by an unlikely opponent to bring them back down to earth or was the adversity of the past three years enough to keep them grounded?

Does this team need to get blown out once this season to bring them back to earth?

you never want to lose. you never want to have to learn by losing but if you lose and do not learn from it. its a double negative. being 6-0 and other than some concerns about the wide outs with some of us. there are no glaring areas of concern here. there is a theory that when you lose it sometimes exposes weaknesses you never thought you had

I'm so sick of hearing about that Eagles game. Every time we're good that s**t gets brought up. Get over it already.

These aren't kids but professionals. I don't think they are dreaming. That's a hard grinding team which knows that there is a lot of room to improve on offensive whilst the defense gets them time to figure it out and still get W's.

Weve lost 22 times in the past two years. Yup, what this team needs is more losing!

Where is this big head that everyone is talking about? Sherman will talk no matter what, I think this team is just playing confident but still knows it's any given Sunday.

No, this team is humbled, Kyle keeps them in check, so NO we don't need a blowout to come down to earth.

Most of the team has the experience of losing last year and prior years.
They just got through a tough game against the worst team in the NFC and only won 9-0.
I think we have enough humility to not need to get blown out to have the right mindset.

No. With strategic preparation and consistent execution, they don't need to lose.

Im sure Kittleskittle, aka Debbie downer will disagree but 49ers are 6-0 and seem to be taking it one game at a time, the team seems to be jelling on and off the field.
The biggest thing I see as a huge positive is they're having fun.
If it's not broke don't fix it.
