I think the 9ers brass realizes that this team is fully capable of winning a championship right NOW. This defense is something special and we may not be able to retain everyone next year. Which is why I think we've spent draft capitol next year for this season.. The window to win is now.

I've been wondering the same thing over the last few weeks. With three guys on the DL in contract years, we might be in a peak window right now.

Yes, its good. I don't care about the future picks. This team just needs a couple of pieces to win.
They can always just pull a Baalke, and keep trading down from their 1st round pick next year to recoup their losses. We will be drafting around the 28-31 range anyway.

I can't believe people actually doubt Paraag in keeping the core together. He's the best cap guy in the nfl and he will
Find a way to keep the main core together along with Sherman juice Tartt etc

We are set up for a long run with guys like Julian Taylor waiting in the wings on the line, etc. Once this o is completely healthy it will be fun to watch! Go Niners

I like it too! Buuut Buck, Armstead, and bosa will be incredibly expensive to keep all 3. Right this second we have this season maybe next to really capitalize on the bargain price of these guys are playing for.

This latest moves tells me they're going all in. No one really knows how long these windows last.

Paraag is so invaluable! To have both he and Kyle as 49ers makes me happy

I think we need to temper our optimism. Don't get me wrong, I see the window is starting to crack open as well. However, we have two huge obstacles ahead of us; running QBs and the cold weather. We get out of that unscathed, then f**k open window, that s**t will be shattered.

D line is built for now. I think Armstead is gone for sure next yr. can't pay everyone. Solomon and Julian fill that spot
