They should just retool for next season. Let every single FA go, minus K'wuan Williams and Juice. And look for creative ways to fill in holes. All i know that this upcoming draft class should really focus on the secondary. Maybe let go of Kwon, Richburg, and MAYBE Ford. (although I don't know what are the cap implications on doing so) No more draft capital wasted on DL and WR's. And I wouldn't think about bringing in another QB unless the other facets of the team are fixed. (o line, D line, secondary, etc...)

Also, let Saleh go. I know continuity is king in the NFL, he needs elite talent to produce mediocre results.

If they tweak some things, they could be elite in about two years.

You wouldn't pick a QB even if we are top 5 in the draft next year?

What's the point of picking a QB if this team has so many holes? QB is a problem but not the biggest problem.

True... only if there is the next Mahomes sitting there. Just not another D-Lineman

Problem is, if you bring in another QB, he will experience the exact same problems as Jimmy G. Compound those problems with a rookie QB. A QB is a need but that should be focused down the road. They really need to address the secondary and their o line. Focus on the QB and filling out their D line in 2022.

Arizona could have said the same thing and passed on KM looks like it is working out for them.If the right guy is sitting there pull the trigger it's easier to fill in the other holes if you have a franchise QB.

True and absolutely accurate. But what are the chances that this regime can identify a franchise QB in the draft? I wouldn't have faith that they could get it right. And QB's are way more difficult to access and identify.

Championship window looking like a peep hole now.
Lots of opportunity still. The team is young. Just not this year.

If they start making smart decisions, they could be back in two years.
Even when this team was making its super bowl run. I said they NEED to finish the job because we could easily fall off the next year. "Revenge Tour" Lmao what a joke

Yeah, it's looking like we'll be picking top ten this year - maybe we can get some help then.

He passed on the first Mahomes. He is looking for the next Kirk Cousins.

almost no one say what Mahomes could be...except for the Chiefs. Let's not pretend that Mahomes was the obvious choice. All I knew that Thomas and Mitch T. were going to be flames in the NFL.

The one redeeming quality that this team has is that they are one of the best in finding talents that came from nowhere. Who in the blue hell is a Mostert, Emmanuel Moseley, Dre Greenlaw, George Kittle, etc.

This is why the 49ers need to switch their philosophy in finding players. As horrible as their track record has been in trading for players and signing big name free agents, they have been as brilliant as finding no name players and turning them into really good football players. They traded their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th picks in 2020 to yield the results of Ford, Sanders, and Williams. (and they will be missing their 2021 high 3rd round choice as well)
The 49ers don't have much margin for error without a QB. The options they have would put them on a path to maybe get back to championship form in 2-3 years if they draft a QB this season. It's gonna be tough to get back but I think a lot of us knew that going into the season.

The revenge tour is everyone getting revenge on the 49ers. You know Seahawks, Saints, and Packers can't wait to play the beat up 49ers.
