Please don't make assumptions and jump to conclusions.

I find it extremely doubtful they're going to keep Armstead and Buckner and extend Kittle. There's not enough cap space. Not to mention Sanders. I would be okay with letting Sanders go if we hit on Pettis.

Pettis is done. Sanders can leave too.

Need to keep Armstead. He's the top performer on that line. Buckner, Armstead and Kittle are like 90% of the reason why were this good.

Ehh, when Dee ford was out none of the line was producing. Bosa and Ford on the outside are gonna get some team to overpay Armstead. Buck was a savage even before we brought those two in six he deserves the extension and Kittle is a no brainer

Let Armstead go. Focus on Buck and Kittle. Those guys have proven consistent success. You don't overpay Armstead for the one year he wasn't a waste.

Same goes for Ward. Look at the whole picture of these players and base who gets signed off that.

This. Armstead is not a DE. Playing a big man like Armstead at DE is part of the reason why we struggled with mobile QBs this season. His sack numbers were great, mostly because you get a lot of 1-on-1 looks on the outside where he could simply overpower most tackles and any TE. But for all that power on the outside, we lost mobility. If you play Armstead on the inside, then I really don't feel like there is that much of a drop-off with Solly.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love us to retain Armstead. He's a great player and his ability to play well inside and outside is an asset. But he is not ideal on the outside, and Solly is more than serviceable in his place on the inside. We should focus on Bosa and Ford as our DEs and get a solid rotational guy in the offseason.

If Jimmy develops as he gains experience, he can make up for some of the losses at other parts of the roster. As long as there's no turmoil in the front office, I think the 49ers have the right culture to win with this core group of coaches and players. Besides Sherman and Staley, it's a young team and if they take pride in their profession, they will improve as individuals. Whether they win a SB or not depends on too many factors, but the team should be in the playoffs for the foreseeable future.

He has a lot more faith in Solly as a replacement than me. I don't see that working out well.
Gotta find a better qb or its gonna be over real quick. Jimmy is probably too old to get much better dude is almost 30.

The 2019 season reminds me of the 2012 season when the niners lost the super bowl and the seahawks were on the cusp for greatness. I think next year, it will be their year while the 49ers end up runners up in the nfc.

That 2012 team was full of vets that were near the end or had contracts running out. The situation is completely different with this team. Still, it's hard to repeat.

I think we will take a step back. We are likely to go down hill. This was the one to win and we didn't do it.
