How are they inferior though? They beat us head to head. They will be the #1 seed if they win. We will be #5 and a wild card team.

I don't know if that's a trick question or not? We played them without George Kittle and what five or six more starters? Dropped 8-9 passes With receivers that shouldn't of been in the game because Emmanuel Sanders was out for almost the whole game. I can't believe I'm repeating this, this should be common sense. Come on man we're much better than them.

They beat a lot of our backups head to head

But yet we lost. They won. Every NFL team has injuries. Including them. You have to play through that. They are the #1 seed with a win tomorrow night. We would be the #5 seed and a wild card team. That's a big fall from the top. From #1 seed to #5 seed is quite a big tumble down.

Plus how they've been scraping by the same opponents that otherwise the 9ers have been smashing. I think there's a ton to be said about that.

The ironic thing is, we beat them with even more back ups and Mullens last year. They were fighting hard to get seeded in playoffs

It's very unfortunately the reality of the situation we are in. I don't want that situation either and am frustrated by it. But here we are. Look at it. Because that's what it is.

Can someone explain to me why we would travel to Dallas if they win their division. If we're both wild card teams and we have the better record why do we have to go to their place.

The division winner gets the home game. Not a team that didn't win their division even with a better record.

The only time the seeding matters is after week 17. I don't expect the 49ers to lose another game. I look forward to the week 17 game because I am confident, especially after this week, the 49ers will win

Only if they win their division... since their record sucks out of the four NFC teams, they'll be one of the division leaders that don't get a bye week and have to play on wildcard weekend. Getting some Reverse Cowgirl is not really a bad thing, my man

We will see. I hope so too. But at Seattle has not been friendly to us. Plus they already beat us this year so I'm not sure that game is an automatic win.

I don't think it will be an automatic win. I know I come off optimistic here, but I am the quintessential pessimist That being said, if this team goes up there without sustaining another major injury, I think they win by double digits. I have no basis for this other than a feeling though, so no one better put money on the 49ers and then come looking for me if things go sideways.
So just checked division records for NFC East. Looks like Cowboys have that tiebreaker against both the Eagles and Redskins, courtesy of being 4-0 in the division; Eagles are 1-1 while Redskins are 0-3

So the Cowboys could win the division at 6-10, but the Eagles and Redskins have to go at least 7-9 to win the division, provided the other two teams go 6-10 or worse.

Division winner will probably be 8-8 or 9-7, though.
Making the playoffs is really all that matters.

Once the tournament starts, no one will want to play the Niners. Homerism aside, I think they're best road team and is pretty much built to win anywhere and in any condition.

I can't wait, we're pretty much guaranteed to make the playoffs. lol

While ending up as a wildcard would be disappointing given the 8-0, I didn't see this season coming. I'm just happy that they're playing meaningful games in December.
