As a fan, I feel traumatized by the nightmares that happen against this team: Bowman's injury, among many others, the Kaepernick meltdown, turkey on our field. I'm not speaking here as a rational observer, but it's more dream or nightmare logic.
By any measure, though, this season will be decided in the last second in Seattle.

All true but the difference between being the #1 seed and a wild card team is huge. All home games vs no home games. Plus you have to play one extra game which is one more chance of getting someone injured. That's why only 6 teams have done it and none since the 2010 Packers.

I don't get that impression watching their games. They respond to every touchdown scored by the other team, and haven't gone more than just a couple drives without a score of their own.
The hawks are a legitimate super bowl threat..... and their experience in these knockdown drag out games is only going go benefit them.
yea seriously. they find ways to win. i think we can stop with the 'lucky' narrative now. they're legit too. time to get over it and accept it.

if you run the ball as we do and play good defense. then that type of football is good for road games in my opinion. once upon a time we went to win at green bay and we went to win at carolina. it can be done. but now that there is no margin of error we just have to take care of our own stuff. no more stumbles and make the last game with seattle mean something. i know our fans tend to pooh pooh seattle but they look like they will not lose again until we meet.

yes.. time to stop with the discrediting of seattle and give them credit. they have found ways to win games and they are no flukey 10-2 team. i think alot of fans are just over looking the rest of our games to that last game. we we lose this sunday and then stumble vs a couple teams we have no business losing to. then the seattle game means nothing and we will get ready to probably go to dallas to play a wildcard game

He drives me crazy but as long as Seattle has Wilson you can never count them out. I've seen him pull a rabbit out of his hat too many times.

Jimmy G will have to step up his game. I think they will have an easier time with New Orleans than most think. Their defense can be beat and Brees is reaching the 40 doldrums as Brady. Wilson has the knack of keeping it close and taking a broken play and scrambling for the late win. For the 49ers every game is a playoff game. We don't want to be a wild card going to Dallas or Philly.

yep, if he has the ball at the end of the game. chances are good he can get it done. hate him as much as one can. if they stumble that would be nice. but i fooled myself into thinking the vikings could help us. what was i thinking. never make that mistake. no margin of error now.

I'm most worried about the Hawks. I think they are now similar to the Pats in that they can simply plug and play lesser talent and prevail. It's a combination of having a great QB, good coaching, extreme home field advantage and an endless supply of luck. They are just finding the way to make the right call down the stretch and has a Niners fan, it's extremely frustrating.
Competing against them is maddening. Every 4th and 1 call from here on out needs to be properly called and executed. We simply can't have Jimmy drop back into the shotgun on a key play instead of handing the ball off to a red hot Mostert. We can't afford these boneheaded calls and expect to advance. We have to work twice as hard as Seattle to win this thing. Can it be done? Absolutely!!!!!! But it's time for Kyle to rise to the occasion and be better as a result of learning from his mistakes. We won't win this thing on talent alone.....

Nobody gets to 10-2 as a fluke. You post that record you are good, the league to too balanced to say otherwise.

Agreed you don't win 10 games by accident in this league and you can't take any team for granted.
We at least control our own destiny and that's all you can ask for. Worst case scenario we end up as the 5th seed and travel to Dallas or Philly.

Absolutely. I don't discredit their success in the least bit. As I was stating above, the Hawks are now entering "New England Patriot Zone." They are managing to win with lesser talent. They have all the intangibles that the we don't have at the moment and it's frustrating.
