Yup. No matter what happens...we're getting in anyhow
Just our luck. We finally get good again and there's a whole s***load of teams having good seasons in the NFC. In a normal year 12-4 and certainly 13-3 would give you home team thru the playoffs.
All the pundits/scouts/experts are still picking the 49ers to win the division with a bye week. I get a strong vibe that a lot of people think we beat the Saints, and the Seahawks lose to the Rams on Sunday, putting more pressure on Seattle in the series finale. I remember writing in the record prediction thread back in Aug, that wherever our playoff path was destined to begin, it would most likely start in week 17.

The cawks have two tricky games coming up. The Lambs just know how to play them and they think they have a shot at a wildcard. It's in LA and time for revenge. Lambs know if they don't win this, they are pretty much eliminated

The Panthers game is all about pride for Carolina. The interim HC is going to try to prove something, the whole team gonna treat it like their playoff game. If they are healthy, they will win. Panthers know how to play dirty too. I see body bags

If they are limping when the Tards come to town, watch out, mini willow could wear them out...Tards will lose, but that will be like a playoff game for them because of the hate / rivalry (cawks shamed them in AZ), they'll compete

The target is more focused on them now. We won't be under the radar, but the media will be sucking them off for at least one more week...by the time week 17 comes, I think we'll go into their house and win convincingly (not a close game this time)

The saints game will be just as tough

And so is the Seahawks at C-Link. Plus, I don't expect the Seahawks to lose another game until week 17 for the big showdown. But, if we can't beat the Saints, then nothing else matters.

Tough, but not as tough.

Double team Thomas and single the others. Pressure Brees. He isn't Kyler or Wilson. He is susceptible to the rush if the short routes are covered.

All good points.... it'll be a "cakewalk" fellas
I think Seattle won't escape either Carolina or the Cardinals. Cardinals are going to play tough and try to play spoiler.

Man the Cardinals have almost no chance at all of beating the Seahawks. That young, inexperienced QB against Russell Wilson. That questionable coach against Pete Carroll. I would bet a large money on that not being likely to happen.

Every team only plays to their top potential when they play us.
If Seattle and SF end up tied at 13-3 but we win week 17 thus giving us a 1-1 head to head matchup the tie breaker scenario goes in Seattle's favor because their "strength of wins" will be higher I believe. We are getting screwed by having faced Washington. I think beating NO might help since Seattle lost to NO but Vikings + Eagles will end up with more wins combined than GB + Wash (our only uncommon opponents). There's a little more to it but basically it's hard for us to win the division without winning the 3 games prior to Seattle.

We have to go 4 - 0. Then it's ours.

That red and gold bay area California team with five chips no matter what folk say. We are both admired and envied. There's no one not eyeing the Niners on the schedule when we're good. We just have to deal with that fact. Larry Fitzgerald said even when we were bad we were their biggest rival in football. You'd have thought SEA over his career but he said no. It was us. We are a legacy ball club and when we're good teams are sure to give us as much adversity as they can throw at us

This is why I stewed over us not taking that tie at end game earlier in the season but I understand that coach had to for team morale go for the win but I sure as heck wish he'd have run clock in that Seattle game in doing it so we had the ball last. Well like San Diego said we have to win out
seattle will drop one to us and hopefully the rams can do us a favor this weekend. we also have to do our part ofcourse
