If we beat the Rams and then Seattle, the 1 seed is not just possible, it is guaranteed.

Got it. These next 2 weeks are gonna be crazy i hope there ready.

Exactly. We take care of business, we get the 1 seed.
I cant believe us not tying seattle is going to bite us in the ass lol
If we can't come out and beat the Falcons after an emotional win last week, then I have no doubt we won't be able to go out on the road during Wild Card weekend and win after what could possibly be an emotional loss Week 17 in Seattle. The next two weeks are huge, must win games not only for the health of this squad but because how emotionally draining these close games have become. We came out flat the week after the Seattle loss and the same after the Saints win.

Such a great season can turn into a total waste if we don't win the next two games. The bye could be the difference between #6 and a wasted opportunity. This team better buckle up cuz the next two weeks are going to be tough. Hopefully The team learned something after this pathetic display.

It hasn't changed much. No matter what. We have to beat the Seahawks week 17. Whether we were tied. Up one game or down one game. We need to beat them week 17 to win the division.

Unless they lost to the cards and we beat falcons and rams. But it wasn't likely they'd lose to the cards

Likely need to win both for 1 seed.

It depends on what kind of playcalling we get from Shanahan. If its the same as today, we probably won't win the next two games. everyone needs to clean it up.

No, if Kittle can just hang on to that ball and leans over that first down line, we kill the clock and win. Kittle needs to play better.

Lol Kittle balled out there. 99% of the time that fumble doesnt happen. Defense still had a job to do.

We win out, we win the #1 seed. Simple as that. Lose one game, then it's 5th or even the 6th seed.

49ers can be 1, 2, 3, 5, or 6 seed even if they lose to the Rams. That's how many scenarios there still are for seeding.
Honestly, the more I think about how meaningless this game was, the more I think it was good for them to lose to put the rest of the season in perspective. They can either rise up from this or they'll crumble. hopefully its the former.

I'll buy that for a dollar. In the big picture, its true.

Not going to lie: when the Falcons were at the five-yard line my heart was racing but I couldn't help but think "you know... even if we win I'm pretty disappointed with how we played today. Maybe losing would give this team a wake-up call and make it ten times harder to sweep today's performance under the rug..."

Maybe I'm just damage-controlling, but there's a good chance this game didn't mean anything so might as well have it wake them up somehow.

This wouldn't have made a difference (unless we win Saturday and Seahawks lose Sunday).
Hi 49er fans I have a question on the seeding ,
Why aren't we not #2 seed when we smashed the Packers and we are at #5 Seed now ?
Does any one know . Please explain

Good point. I doubt the Seahawks lose to Arizona but I do hope their D has to chase Kyler around all day and gets exhausted like the Niners D after they played the Pats in 2012.

this. can we please put behind this idea that the tie would have helped us.

we are 11-3 and lost 3 games we were in position to win. let's get as healthy as possible and win the division. we lost a meaningless game. it is what it is.

Division leaders are seeds #1 through #4. Wild card teams (Two best teams not leading their division) are #5 and #6.

Right now we aren't leading our division so best seed we can currently be right now is #5. But this is all just hypothetical it's going to come down to the last two games.
