Does it go down to Strength of Victory tie breaker? Who would have the advantage in that scenario?

As a general rule, if you end up tied with a team, but lose 2 games to that same team you are tied with, you will never be ahead of them.

You obvious love your wife...a lot! Good man. That's just brutal all around. I've seen several Philly games of late and I'd highly recommend rooting for them. They are a hot mess...even when they do win by the skin of their teeth.

Yeah she's okay jk she puts up with me so she's a keeper.

Im gonna have to wear a full snow suit to watch the game ugh.

LMAO. Love it. Post a pic here of you dressed up like the Michelin Man.
Ok, if the Niners lose to the Rams, and Seattle beats the Cardinals this week then the Niners beat Seattle next week. Both teams are 12-4, Who is the 1 seed ?

Comes down to Strength of Victory tiebreaker. We've discussed it on this thread on earlier pages. Wash, NO, GB records (for us) vs. Philly, Min, Atl records (for them). We're ahead at the moment but haven't clinched.

So we need GB, NO, and Washington to keep winning for a tie breaker with Seattle, but really don't we want GB and NO to lose to break the tie in NFC?

If we lose to the Rams to put us in this situation, we've already hosed our record in comparison to GB and NO.

I don't want to consider this. Just win the next 2 games in a row. No questions asked.

And losing to Atl improved their record and slightly toughened up our strength of schedule. I wonder how close the calculation is going to be.

Right now we lead 25-17 to 22-20 if I counted correctly.

Remember, this is only for the division, and only if we lose to the Rams and the Seahawks beat the Cards before we win in Seattle. It's doubtful we get the #1 seed after a loss to the Rams, but a #2 is possible if GB loses @Minnesota.

Unless there's some tiebreaker I don't know about this is correct. Makes sense, if we can't beat them once we don't deserve division with same record.

I remember Hawk fans saying if their team couldn't beat the 49ers on MNF the division would have been lost. They're right because they'd not only be an extra game back but would have to surpass 49ers for overall record which with hindsight would have been impossible.

But now us with our great start, great point differential, we're at the freaking mercy of where we're at because we lost to them that night.

Hopefully that's all in the past and we get this #1 seed.

Agreed.

But in that scenario, SF would win the division. More than likely not the #1 seed (depends on what the Saints and GB do) at worst they would be the 3 seed though (get at least one home game)
