We've helped them twice. Beating GB and tonight. But when we needed them to beat Seattle they just shrugged their shoulders.

Yep. They're on their own from here on out.

Cousins fails at the worst possible time.
Also, we are guaranteed to finish with a better record than either the Packers and Vikings since they play each other, so we can no longer drop to the 6th seed.

SF is pretty much locked into the 1st or 5th/6th, barring ties. 2nd and 3rd scenarios are out unless SF finishes 12-3-1 and GB or NO or both finish 13-3. (EDIT: Missed one scenario where SF can be 6th; see below)

Here are all the scenarios, including ties, as they currently stand:

SF is 1st if SEA wins tomorrow and SF beats SEA. (SF 13-3, SEA 12-4)

SF is 1st/2nd/3rd if SEA loses tomorrow and SF/SEA tie. (SF 12-3-1, SEA 11-4-1).

SF is 1st/2nd/3rd if SEA ties tomorrow and SF/SEA tie (SF 12-3-1, SEA 11-3-2)

SF is 5th/6th if SEA wins tomorrow and wins against SF. (SF 12-4, SEA 13-3)

SF is 5th if SEA ties tomorrow and wins against SF (SF and SEA both 12-3-1 with SEA having 2-0 record vs. SF)

SF is 5th if SEA wins tomorrow and SF/SEA tie (SF 12-3-1, SEA 12-3-1 with SEA having 1-0-1 record vs. SF's 0-1-1)

Edit: what is the tie breaker with minn

What if?

Vikes win out (means beating GB)
Pack win 1
We lose to the Seahawks.

All three of us at 12-4. Pack wins the tiebreaker for their division because of divisional record. That makes Vikes a wildcard.
Vikes have tiebreak over us because of common games (danged Falcons).

Don't we drop to #6? GOOOOOOO PACKERS!!!

MIN can only win 12 and win their division. So it's impossible for both SF and MIN to be WC teams and end with the same record. No tie breaker necessary. If they are the two WC teams then SF is 12-4 and MIN is either 11-5 or 10-6 and MIN is the 6th seed.

GB can be a WC as either 12-4 or 11-5. Either SF has a better record than them (12-4 vs. 11-5) or they are both 12-4 WC teams with SF having the tie breaker because of beating GB. Therefore if SF and GB are the two WC teams GN is the 6th seed.

49ers cannot be the 6th seed.

Vikes and Packers can tie at 12-4. That gives the division to the Pack. Vikings becomes wildcard and beat us on tiebreakers.
We really need to beat Seattle. Road game vs a heavily criticized team who everyone is betting against always seems to be tough. Especially if it's Dallas.

You're right - I think that's the only scenario that puts SF at 6. Very unlikely to happen, but you never know.

Yeah, that's the one scenario I missed.

So, 1st or 5th/6th.

Those ungrateful b*****ds.
Where do we stand if the Seahawks lose to the Cardinals tomorrow but beat us in week 17? Who wins the division?

Them. 2-0 vs us.

SEA wins division in that scenario. Both teams 12-4, but SEA 2-0 vs. SF for tiebreaker.
