I think it will be very important to keep Murray in the pocket for those reasons. I checked out half of the Cardinals/Falcons game and it seems like when Murray is in the pocket, he hits quick timing throws. When he's out of the pocket is when he hits his 15+ yard completions. I don't see why wide9 would be bad versus ARI. I don't see the 49ers moving away from it unless ARI starts hitting them with draw plays.
When he gets out of the pocket it becomes a nightmare because he'll backpedal and slowly move laterally waiting for the eventual coverage lapse and he has the arm and accuracy to put it on a dime 30 yards down the field.
His biggest issue has been stepping up into the pocket. He seems to lack comfort doing that and he is quick to checkdown if he can't get out of the pocket so they really have to stay disciplined to prevent those big passing plays.
He really does have a good arm and can throw on the move. I don't know if there is a big difference between him rolling left or right, but I would think that will also factor into how the 49ers plan their pass rush. One thing I've seen teams do versus mobile QBs is have a LB spy that has the green light to rush once the QB has escaped the pocket. I can see Kwon Alexander doing this so that once Murray does escape the pocket, his time is limited.
