It's ok to admit the schedule has been soft, but they've taken advantage of it. And they haven't played their best ball yet. They have room to grow, which is good because we can all see what's coming. The first 8 games the opponent winning pct was .325 (20-43-1). The last eight it's .625 (40-23-1). Right.

We honestly need to lose one game this regular season. The chances of it not happening are super slim, but I don't want this team going into the playoffs 16-0 and having that extra element hanging over them.

"Best" game to lose would be the Ravens game. Maybe the W17 game in Seattle too if all playoff seeding is locked in.

Point is, the team needs different types of adversary to fight through to keep focus. Young team, inexperienced with winning team. Sherman is preaching the correct message - always look to improve, they haven't come close to the final goal of the season.

It's good sometimes for a team to be humbled, especially if they still win.

Sherm is one to talk, with that weak a** pursuit

He looked like an old man on that 88 yard play. Terrible effort and angle

In his full quote he puts blame on himself as part of the poor effort.

With the new CBA I'm guessing no more Thursday games

I hope so, they're freaking dumb.

At the very least an 18 week season with two byes per team, with one being mandatory before the Thu night games. Honestly, the best solution to balance player health and business of the league.

The union should propose to agree to an 18 game schedule if they get rid of Thursday night games.

Yep. Blamed himself multiple times. This wasnt a case of Sherm trying to dodge the blame. He took responsibility for it. Im glad. Younger plays might just brush it off as, hey we won, but hes gonna hold guys accountable... or atleast get people to have that mindset.

I still can't believe Deebo dropped that TD pass.

Yep. It's becoming even dangerous to play on Thursday night.

A heads up: They're replaying the game on NFLN at 1:00 am, PST.

Lol at the idiots saying "if not for the timeout, cardinals would've won"

Yeah, because the second half would've played out the exact way it did.
This game will be a blessing in disguise for the defense. Now we have time to adjust to our mistakes and weaknesses against a mobile QB before taking on Wilson next week, Murray again the following week and Lamar Jackson the week after that. I bet the defense won't do the same mistakes as last night's game.
TLDR:

They looked and played like a team on a short week. They still beat a division opponent at home And broke a streak.

Dice it up any way you want. It's a win

They can do Thursday night football if whoever is playing comes off a bye week.
