Not so sure about that. They are a young and up and coming team. I think we're going to witness some epic shootouts between these two over the next few years. I think Kyler Murray is legit. Kingsbury has them playing very well. Give him another draft and he will have himself a real team out there in the desert.

There are going to be years where AZ has our number.

Just not this year.

Meh. Their passing offense besides that one awful decision by Moseley to go for the INT had like 150 yards. In the first half Murray kept missing open receivers. He's good but they caught the 49ers flatfooted on a short week. I expect a better showing in two weeks.

Agreed.
Seemed like they called a lot of holding on the Cards. Probably just 1/4 being called.
The niners are showing what it takes to win in the NFL by doing it in a variety of conditions. They won on the road in hot humid conditions. They won in the rain and mud in a tight game on the east coast. They've won in blowouts. They won with defense. They won with offense. They won with the ground game. And last night they won with the passing game. The only thing left is to win in a dome on the road when you might not be favored. (NO).

Lots of great commentary and insight in here (as usual) with folks saying many of the same things I have been thinking. Chalk this game up to it being a Thursday night game and the reality that Arizona is not as bad as they were last year. Murray was the right pick for the Cardinals and that helped us get exactly what we needed in Bosa. The win wasn't pretty, but it was still a win and the worst thing about it was the potential loss of Kwon Alexander for the season. As long as KA's injury isn't too serious then there is really nothing bad that came of a game in which the team struggled and that should serve us well moving forward. I really think we'll be okay because we have Jimmy G and if needed he has the ability to carry the team like I haven't seen from a 49ers quarterback in 20 years. The idea is to make certain that he doesn't always have to, just that he can if we needed him to. Good win in that regard.

I think they stomp the Cardinals in two weeks. Arizona gave them their best shot and the 49ers still came out on top. In two weeks they won't have the element of surprise anymore and the Cardinals won't be as willing to sellout to stop the run. Richard Sherman was pissed off on the field and sounded pissed off after the game so they definitely are going to take the rematch personally.

49ers were on a short week and facing a division rival, that's tough for any team. So many were expecting a blowout, I just had a hard time seeing one which is why I made no predictions on that game.
I was at the game and I have to say Cards fans are f**king pricks. Unfortunately my pops and I were around mostly Cards fan and they would cuss and talk s**t to the two of us and we were just sitting there enjoying the game. When the hell did they become like Phili fans?

Yup exactly what I was thinking and that's what happens when you gamble on plays, you're just not gonna win them all. I expect a much more disciplined defense in two weeks.

Same. I expect the Niners to win by 15 points in Santa Clara.

It's why we only got 3 sacks.

Wow man that sucks.
I have to say, AZ scared me the most of any team this year so far. The playing field was probably leveled a lot more because it was a Thursday road game, but outside the passing game, it was a pretty discouraging effort. Glad we got the win, but it doesn't bode well for what Wilson could do to our D next week.

When your qb is that short, you need to talk more s**t to compensate

I still can't believe Deebo dropped that TD pass.

it's almost like he got too excited or something, it was weird

It looked like he turned his head to take a peek...to see who he was going to contest for the ball. And then flat azz dropped it.

Same here. Their newest traded player paid off. Like HC said, they're better than their record.

I have a pair of those Nike gloves, and Bosa is right, im not sure how professional WR's drop balls like that. The gloves are practically sticky.
