Since it's week 17, I hope the seeding will be determined so we can use it as a bye-week.

It's a bad idea to rest starters in week 17 imo. Even if we're locked in at no.1 we should play the game. Its backfired on good teams to take another week off before the playoffs. Rams 2 years ago come to mind, they rested in week 17 against us and lost to ATL because they lost their momentum.

I mean compared to Kyle Allen and hated goff, yes he was having a lot of success. But based off in general, no. They had one drive early that should've been a punt but for a horse collar that wasn't needed and then a fluke 88 yard TD.

Murray had a decent game but I wouldn't call it gashing us. He had a sack that lost 19 yards...

You have to weigh the injury risk though. Once you have a seed locked in then you can't take unnecessary risks.

I gotta question. Do you believe the secondary is good because of the D Line or do you think the secondary is good by itself

A combination. You need both.

Who has a good secondary that doesn't need the d line?

Were we watching two entirely separate games? The Cardinals had two effective drives all game. Murray had like 130 yards passing before that throw to Isabella which was more of a byproduct of Moseley gambling to go for the INT instead of playing his man.

Lmao. This post reeks of someone who only saw the highlights or was box score watching

Last I could think of was Legion of Boom maybe?? Denver secondary was actually pretty good during the peyton manning days but aside from that, you're right

And kyler Murray still shredded us, Just think what Wilson could do. He's a more accurate passer than Murray as well

This!!! They did not shred our pass D, they had one big chunk play for over 80 yards because of multiple lapses (missed tackles taken by poor angles). Our pass D is good, the run D is more of a concern IMO

Just watched the highlights and Murray dinked his way around the field. No more then 5 passes were passed 10yrds. One long one and that was pretty much it. If we tighten up the lil flare out passes (pretty much a long handoff) we're good.

Yup, it was just bad angles and poor tackling. Something are defense has been good at in all other games. So i am not too worried about it. We had one bad half defensively. Lets not panic over one half of football. They ran a lot of dink and dunk passes and ran the ball well on us. Defense just has to do a better job of coming up and making those tackles going forward . Again, something they have proven to be able to do in previous games. Arizona did have a good offensive game plan. That being said it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that to beat this defense you need to be able to run the ball and get the ball out of the QBs hands quickly. I still feel pretty confident that this is still an Dominate defense and we will get some of the problems we had in this game corrected going forward.

Exactly. With the luck we've been having with injuries the past 2 years, I'd rather risk being rusty than risk not fielding a full squad.

how is Gordan able to play? i thought NE waived him because he was going on season ending IR? now he's healthy and ready to play? if he can still play, why did NE release him?

They got tired of dealing with his crap for minimal production.

This.

Seattle picked him off waivers. Imagine the number of teams that passed on him since Seattle is 6-2. There's a reason why he was even available for Seattle to pick him off waivers.
