Is it the 11th yet? Too damn long!

Honestly..I like Sundays like the one coming. I can enjoy games for the sake of football. No real investment because I have no dog in the race. Nothing like your team having a Thursday night win and just being able to enjoy Sunday.

Were we watching two entirely separate games? The Cardinals had two effective drives all game. Murray had like 130 yards passing before that throw to Isabella which was more of a byproduct of Moseley gambling to go for the INT instead of playing his man.

He was killing us all night man , you know it. Ground and through the air combined

Lmao. This post reeks of someone who only saw the highlights or was box score watching

The Cards had some nice drives but they ended up with 200 net passing yards and nearly half that came on one play. The horse collar tackle gave them new life on the opening drive (no penalty, it's a 51 yard FG attempt).

We have been susceptible to the run all season. But most teams aren't willing to stick with it (or the games aren't close enough for it to matter). Seattle will stick with it. Baltimore will too. Unless we jump out and put points on the board.

Losing Kwon sucks as far as pass coverage goes but he was average against the run. Warner is excellent in coverage. Greenlaw has to play run first and wrap up.

Bottom line - Seattle can exploit our defense with an effective run game. They are going to want to control the ball and shorten the game. But their defense is awful against the pass and I think we can put up 27+ on them. That should be enough.
Can we change the Seattle Toots? Who made that, that's embarrassing

The defense is not going to carry this team through every game this season. Nobody's perfect. Every once in awhile, they are going to have a letdown. It happens. Fortunately, the offense picked them up and the 49ers rode Jimmy's arm to the tune of four TD passes and a nice win on the road.

Count on the defense to be extra special motivated to get the bad taste of the AZ game out of their mouths against Seattle. We beat them for the first time last season in a long, long time. But, before that, the Seahawks OWNED the 49ers. They spanked us but good, year after year after year.

I don't think anyone on this team that played through those years (Staley, Buckner, Armstead, etc.) is going to forget that anytime soon. It's time to "even up the score" a bit, so to say. You can count on an extra motivated Uncle Sherm as well. I also don't believe Mosley should ride the pine because of one or two poor decisions. He's been better than good ever since he stepped into the starting lineup.

So we are clear, it is your belief that the first 7 weeks were a mirage and Kliff Kingsbury, he of the losing record at Texas Tech, has exposed the 9ers D.

I gotta question. Do you believe the secondary is good because of the D Line or do you think the secondary is good by itself

IMO there's no such thing as just a good secondary. I don't give s**t who you are, no one can lockdown skilled positions for 4+ seconds all day. The game today is so skewed towards the offense (especially passing).

Pass rush makes a defense go, finding players that fit your scheme make a secondary go.

Lol well this isn't true at all. He had two actual drives. The other long play was Eman trying to making an INT vs just going for the tackle. I'm not even sure why we were in man there
The only thing that got exposed was that when Kliff Kingsbury went up tempo, aka no huddle O, we had no way to get our DLs off the field every 4 to 8 plays and give them a blow. Pretty clever on his part. And he did outfox both Saleh and Kyle by doing it. When our DLs got gassed, we couldn't get them out and bring in fresh guys. Result was our passrush Stopped, and when that happened, Kyler had all day to find receivers.

So besides the loss of KWON, Saleh has to come up with a way to get fresh OLs in when the guys out there need a blow. T.Os work but we only get 3 per half. T. O for injury works but we only get 2 of those. I wonder if something simple like an intentional offsides for 5 yds, would work to get our fresh DLs in.

Any other suggestions? We better have an answer for no huddle O because you know we will see it again against AZ but will see it sooner a week from Monday nite. Curious as to what kyle and saleh do .

Just have one of guys blow up the center at the line of scrimmage before the snap, just to set the tone.. and also for rotations lol

how is Gordan able to play? i thought NE waived him because he was going on season ending IR? now he's healthy and ready to play? if he can still play, why did NE release him?

They got tired of dealing with his crap for minimal production.

This.

Seattle picked him off waivers. Imagine the number of teams that passed on him since Seattle is 6-2. There's a reason why he was even available for Seattle to pick him off waivers.

Seattle was the only team to put in a waiver claim.

Josh Gordon may be down to his last NFL chance.

After the Patriots put Gordon on waivers, every team had the opportunity to claim him on their rosters. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Seahawks were the only team to put in a claim.

So the Patriots don't want Gordon anymore, and 30 other teams didn't want him, either. That suggests that, for all of Gordon's impressive talent, NFL teams have decided that his off-field issues simply aren't worth the trouble.
