⛏ SF 49ERS vs SEATTLE TOOTS 💨 Pregame Thread - 2019 Season Week 10

Right now, Seattle controls their own destiny. If they can beat the 49ers in both games, they will win the NFC West instead of the 49ers, assuming each team wins the rest of their games. However, if the 49ers beat Seattle, even just once, then they own the NFC West, and no matter what the other teams do, they have to hope the 49ers have a losing streak to have a chance to win the division.
I think it was interesting that the 49ers didn't use nearly as much motion, screens, inside runs, or misdirection @ AZ as they did vs CAR.

I'm guessing a lot of what KS does offensively is not only to setup the following plays and series' but also to setup the following weeks.

The SEA defense is good but I think we will keep them completely off balance and I expect to put up 28-35 points.

I noticed the same thing and was thinking where's all the motion, this is pretty vanilla compared to prior games. I also thought maybe KS is keeping some special "goldrush" plays hidden just for Seattle.

It could have also just been because of the short week, didn't have time to practice all the motions and fakes

Is it the 11th yet? Too damn long!

Honestly..I like Sundays like the one coming. I can enjoy games for the sake of football. No real investment because I have no dog in the race. Nothing like your team having a Thursday night win and just being able to enjoy Sunday.

The only thing that got exposed was that when Kliff Kingsbury went up tempo, aka no huddle O, we had no way to get our DLs off the field every 4 to 8 plays and give them a blow. Pretty clever on his part. And he did outfox both Saleh and Kyle by doing it. When our DLs got gassed, we couldn't get them out and bring in fresh guys. Result was our passrush Stopped, and when that happened, Kyler had all day to find receivers.

So besides the loss of KWON, Saleh has to come up with a way to get fresh OLs in when the guys out there need a blow. T.Os work but we only get 3 per half. T. O for injury works but we only get 2 of those. I wonder if something simple like an intentional offsides for 5 yds, would work to get our fresh DLs in.

Any other suggestions? We better have an answer for no huddle O because you know we will see it again against AZ but will see it sooner a week from Monday nite. Curious as to what kyle and saleh do .

Just have one of guys blow up the center at the line of scrimmage before the snap, just to set the tone.. and also for rotations lol

Now that i like. Take 5 yds but do so by knocking the C backwards who then steps on Russ's foot. Excellent. And we get our Fresh DLs in.

how is Gordan able to play? i thought NE waived him because he was going on season ending IR? now he's healthy and ready to play? if he can still play, why did NE release him?

They got tired of dealing with his crap for minimal production.

This.

Seattle picked him off waivers. Imagine the number of teams that passed on him since Seattle is 6-2. There's a reason why he was even available for Seattle to pick him off waivers.

Seattle was the only team to put in a waiver claim.

Josh Gordon may be down to his last NFL chance.

After the Patriots put Gordon on waivers, every team had the opportunity to claim him on their rosters. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Seahawks were the only team to put in a claim.

So the Patriots don't want Gordon anymore, and 30 other teams didn't want him, either. That suggests that, for all of Gordon's impressive talent, NFL teams have decided that his off-field issues simply aren't worth the trouble.

No predictions but if SEA gets screwed up by Gordon's b******t, and the locker room goes to krapt, well, once could say they did it to themselves. Been an interesting yr for WRs...AB, now Gordon, altho he isn't nearly in AB's league.

I forget now, but did BB also take a looksee at AB, even if just briefly?

You gotta be right. Kyle figured we didn't need it in AZ, but we will against SEA.
I hope we f**k up that NT that was talking s**t on richburg last year

Losing Qwon is huge but I like Shanny at home with 10 days to prepare. Sherman is pissed with the 'D's latest performance and won't want to be embarrassed by his former team. I think we come out with a solid win in this one. Game 2 vs. the Cheathawks in their house not so sure though.

Since it's week 17, I hope the seeding will be determined so we can use it as a bye-week.

It's a bad idea to rest starters in week 17 imo. Even if we're locked in at no.1 we should play the game. Its backfired on good teams to take another week off before the playoffs. Rams 2 years ago come to mind, they rested in week 17 against us and lost to ATL because they lost their momentum.

You have to weigh the injury risk though. Once you have a seed locked in then you can't take unnecessary risks.

Exactly. With the luck we've been having with injuries the past 2 years, I'd rather risk being rusty than risk not fielding a full squad.

You don't rest starters the entire game.

Let them play maybe a quarter, possibly less. Then pull them out.

That gets you best of both worlds.

Jimmy should have faced at least a quarter of the starter Rams team in 2017 instead of none of them. Rams came out flat and lost to the Falcons at home.
Think that Metcalf will run go routes, Lockett deep crossing routes and Gordon more intermediate especially the middle of the field like a TE

Joe Staley's daughter.

She gets a pass. Lets kick the Seattle TOOT's ass!!
Jimmy G is walking around with a confident cock after that last game.

Seattle is 27th in the league vs the pass. They have no pass rush and their secondary isn't good. Seattle should have lost about 3 more games this yr. imo they're aren't even close to as good as their record indicates.

I wouldn't be shocked if TB beat them this week.

Let's go Bucs

I have no faith in Winston. That dude is a turnover machine

Good point. I also noticed that. Also, I think the AZ home field noise voided a lot of motions because maybe the players can't hear the play call signals to start the motions and stuff. Illegal motion is, I think, a 10 yard penalty.
