The loss of Qwon hurts big time. But i think Greenlaw will fill in better than expected. There is just something about this defense, its energy, that brings the best out in everybody at each level. The same is true for our offense. Look at how the two backup OTs did when their numbers were called up?! And i think the addition of Sanders at WR will lift up the play of our other WRs too. Perhaps i am being very optimistic, but are we all not happily surprised by this team this year? I mean, who really thought we would be 8-0 right now. Regardless, i see us in the playoffs, its just a matter of how far we go. I was expecting an 8-8 or 9-7 year to be honest. So i am very stoked about this team this far! I see the game as a close one and with Jimmy G needing more games like Thursday in the future. But we now know he can do it. Go niners!!

This was a lot easier in the 1980's before the salary cap (aka: let's screw the 49ers and teach Eddie D. a lesson, rule), because Eddie D. paid out starter money to backups who sat on the bench until injury hit. And they normally stepped right in and the team didn't miss a beat. This happened time and time again.

We don't have that luxury anymore. The loss of Kwon will hurt. But this is why Shanahan and Lynch used a 5th rounder earlier this year on Dre Greenlaw. It's his time to shine now. It's his moment. I have a feeling that we are going to see some nice things out of Dre.

The fact that Seattle took a flyer on Josh Gordon should tell you how desperate they really are. If you can't make it with the Patriots, chances are you're not going to make it anywhere.

I wouldn't worry about the SeaHags. Shanahan won't even need to motivate his crew. Uncle Sherm will take care of that.
