Only afraid of injuries

The backups and coaching staff have been the real factor this time and a coach that can design amazing plays as the team/Jimmy G grows mentally.

This is great being surprised by the season so far.

What a crazy ride.

Now that is really an eye opener!

So far so good but we're only half way. It gets harder from here on. The upcoming opponents have a winning record. This is going to be the true test

Agree

Especially w/the media and the Haters.

They're chomping at the bit to bad-mouth us and be massive downers in the Zone.

The QB can't carry a team like we all expected.

The play of the te isn't what it was last year.

Other teams are starting to figure our hc out.

The ol play is good, but needs to get better.

Who exactly is supposed to be catching passes from the wr position?

Oh wait. I thought this was the Patriots forum.
Gonna sound strange, but if they hadn't gone through the 0-9 streak, I don't think they would have the resolve to get an 8-0 streak. Maybe like 7-2.

Because to go through a 0-9 losing streak and not fall apart as a team might take even more effort individually.

Yeah, they are about to smash my predictions. I had 9-7 minimum and 11-5 if everything went our way.

And I would have called you very optimistic in the off-season as I thought best case scenario we'd be 10-6. I thought we'd be around 8-8 and I would have been happy with that.

Now both of us are looking dumb, but we're also both pretty damn happy about looking dumb too.

Right..11-5 if EVERYTHING went our way. I'm talking no major injuries, no officials screwing with us, etc . Dee Ford has been better than ever. I didn't think he'd be this good. I figured Nick Bosa would be this good. FIgured Buckner would do what he does. NO ONE accounted for AA. Not one person lol.

What's interesting is that I figured the running game would be top notch and thought the passing game would be better. It hasn't and we are still averaging 30+ a game I think. The special teams have been phenomenal, minus the FG kicking unit. Pass defense is out of this world. With our passing offense, if just ONE receiver would step up, just one, I'd give us the edge over any NFC team in the playoffs and New England.

No,I totally get it. It's why when pundits would say we would take guys lightly, would overlook opponents, or would be happy with certain things, I thought it was silly. We know what it's like to be 0-8, 0-9, 1-10. We know what it's like to have teams come out and just step on us. We know what it's like to be the Cardinals, Bengals, Browns, etc. We aren't that far removed. These guys are hungry. In a month's time we will have won more this year than they have in their entire career. It's a different type of battle toughness we have. The fact that these guys never lost their way with the adversity in the last 2 years, it will carry them in their postseason run this year.
We are one win away from the division ;)

FIFY.

They will easily do that and aim for much more. They have turned things around really well.

I had been so spoiled growing up in the mid 80's and 90's by our 49ers. This was the normal expectation every year. I'm glad our young Niner fans will soon get to experience it.

Most importantly what came from that is all the players on I.R. allowing the youngest team in the league by a country mile, to get real NFL game experience. It really prepared them for this upcoming season AND gave them a legit opportunity to win a starting job.

...and they ALL responded.
LETS FUKCING GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Cliche as it may sound, We control our own destiny. Our next 3 games are at home against 2 division rivals(Hawks/Cards). This may be the most important 3 game stretch in our season. Thankfully we have them all 3 at home, I hope kyle preaches this in the locker room. Don't take this opportunity for granted and show up. If we take the next 3 games, we'll finish at minimum 11-5 and most likely winning the division and making the playoffs. All 3 games are easily winnable for us with hawks/cards/packers. If get to 11-0 after our home games, the next 5 games will determine playoff seeding and homefield advantage.
