No, the sky is not falling, but the loss was a massive embarrassment no matter how you want to slice it. We got ridiculed by Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson and the rest of the Seahawks.

You cannot rewrite history.

and on monday night football,. the night we usually shine. wilson out played jimmy at crunch time. kyle got outcoached and we got smacked the mouth numerous times as usual when we play them, there are no moral victories after last night

I totally disagree that it was an embarrassment. I think the hurt feels might be self inflicted product of us living in that "undefeated bubble of confidence".

I've listened to the radio, and sports shows all day today and everyone was saying how good of a game it was, and it lived up to the hype.

Once you take your head out of the fanatic vacuum, it becomes an easier pill to swallow.

But, that is simply not realistic.

This was the Seahawks and not just another team. A hated rival deeply ingrained in history. This imbalance of power has been going on for way too long, to be precise over 7 years now.

And what is wrong in having the confidence of an undefeated team? Are you saying we don't deserve it?

Confidence doesn't equate to cockiness, most of us know a little bit about football. This Seahawks team has been scraping by week after week. Their point differential was only +18 after 9 games, meaning their average margin of victory was only 2 points for cry out loud!! And the 9ers? +133 after 8 games!! This Seahawks team isn't some powerhouse.

Sure, our tackles were garbage, the WRs were useless, but we still could have tied if not won the game.

It's not the record. It's losing to the Seahawks in our own house.
It's the injuries and piss poor O line and WR play that piss me off. These problems will linger. So the shortsighted "we're 8-1! Relax guis!!" argument is literally the most fallacious argument ever.

Which will make it all the more sweeter when we ride into Satan's asscrack, and pull ourselves out a win in week 17!

The bolded is exactly what I mean about our minds being stuck in the Niner vacuum, or bubble. It means the world to us, but just another game to everyone else.

The truth is that it doesn't even matter who the Seahawks are even at this point. Everything that happened last night is a product of being undefeated. The biggest target is on your back and EVERY TEAM will play you like it's their superbowl. And unfortunately, the Seahawks are arguably the worst team to face in this situation. They are the prototype spoiler team.

It is what it is. Hopefully it's more of a learning lesson for the Niners.

I hope everyone feels better soon.

But, it isn't about anyone else.

The rivalry is between the 9ers and Seahawks.

Even if you go outside of that, we still got beat by a weaker team.

And what's worse? We didn't even have to lose the game. We had the ball with 1:50 left and a fresh set of downs.

In the end, it was our head coach who lost us this game!!
Only way to atone for this is to win in week 17.

Do that, and all will be well. Seems like Game 1 is always the Seahawk dominates the 49ers game. Game 2 we play better.

We dominated them in the first half, then dominated our selves in the closing minute of the first half and second half. Only lost by a field goal as well so I don't think that really applies as dominating.
Put Ritchie James in the starting lineup. Move pettis to kick returner. Sanders #1, Deebo #2, James #3, #4 is a weekly competition; whoever wants it needs to prove it in practice.
