Are you giving a go with creative writing? You don't represent the "majority" of the fans base. The fan base doesn't feel bad. Of course they don't, they feel ecstatic actually. LOL. Who the fxxk are you kidding here?!
Thanks for the red herring. Perhaps you're right, perhaps the "majority" of the fans are dejected, angst-filled teens; however, I'd like to think that there are a few adults out there as well. If you have been a fan of this team for more than a few years, you've experienced so many losses that this doesn't even register as a blip. The players have a job to do, they will be preparing for the Cardinals, not sitting in their mom's basement crying about the previous game.
Uhhh.. Well.. Juice himself said this was one of the most emotionally draining losses he's ever been a part of, and he's not an angst-filled teen. Other players called it a "gut check." It is without question that many fans were dejected, including myself, over losing a game we should've won -- and even worse to the Seahawks. Having them ruin the undefeated record was absolutely not fun, and absolutely dejecting in the moment.
There is nothing wrong with being upset about it or talking about what we did wrong and can do better. (Not saying that you're saying that either) I have to agree with Rascal though, while the magnitude of anger is much less by now, I still think a good portion fans are not exactly feeling great at the moment. Don't think I'd go so far as to call fans "dejected" and depressed at this point though. Certainly yesterday. But not today.
The "crying" thing is a bit much. Today, I think we're more concerned about the injuries, how the team responds to the loss, and the hope that things like Monday's drops were just a catastrophic anomaly. Sure, the loss isn't the end of the world in the grand scheme of things right now. Most fans are agreeing with that, but they can still feel bad and feel the other way both at the same time though. It takes a day or two of venting and/or grieving sometimes to get the frustrations out.
Personally, I'm ready to see how the team can do with more time to prepare and more film on the Cardinals, while also getting to play at home this time.
