I'm at denial. I can't frelling believe that after the Greenlaw interception return that we frelling lost that game.

This, I was like were actually gonna pull this off when that pick happened. such a frustrating ass game

That f**king kicker.

I am in Year 1 of the process, I am hoping by Year 5 I should be fine.

This one has the feel of the 2013 NFC Championship game which is why it may take longer.

I just cannot shake the pictures of Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson laughing their heads off after the win, in the postgame triumphant trying to be cool, the on-field interview with DK Metcalf, all the postgame shows saying how the Seattle Seahawks is the better team, how the 49ers are not even the best team in NFC West after this huge loss let alone the NFC or even the NFL, etc, etc.

I am livid with Kyle Shanahan, he has no idea of the damage he has done by losing this game when we didn't have to. I think the repercussions could prove to be extremely costly.

Relax there's like 1 player left over from that 2013 game

A whole new team that's embracing underdog mentality since week 1 - if anything this only fuels them more and battle tested for what's to come ahead - the playoffs
I didn't want to lose but since we did, the next best thing is this team going out humble, hungry, and with a taste for blood. I hope the sting of this fires up the competitors on this team—the guys who have a real dog in them—to go out and kick some serious ass. May god have mercy on the cardinals

No, I am fine with the 2013 NFC Championship loss now, but it did take me a few years. What I said was, this loss has the feel of it which is why it may take a while to get over this one. It might not take 5 years, may be 3 years could be enough, but we shall see.
What's the over/under that Bourne goes over 100 yds receiving?

Dude we beat em in Seattle, you'll be over it.

Cards have a better defense than the Seahawks and it took the best game of Jimmy's career, and kittle/sanders, to get a 3 point win last time. This game will be tough.... No kittle, no sanders, no breida, short week. We are a better team than cards, no doubt, but this will be no cake walk

100%. These are not the same old Cards. They fight until the end too. Every game since the start of October has been within 6 points for a win or loss save for the Saints. And if we don't have a healthy Kittle, Sanders, Staley and Breida...SOB. And their style of offense is our toughest matchup for defense...even more than Seattle.

I was going to pickup ice cream for the wife last night(cuz who doesn't need ice cream 9pm when it's 20 degrees out) and had the NFL radio on. They happened to have Bruce Arians on and he mentioned how they played Wilson and Murray back to back and how they found themselves playing a bit of a tentative pass rush to keep those guys contained and got burned so late in the Arizona game they made the adjustment to just go after Murray and if he makes a play then he makes a play.

I think we may want to think about doing something similar. Obviously it depends on the game situation(if we happen to have a big lead then better to play contain and keep the big plays to a minimum) but I trust our DL to attack and make the play more, especially with Spoon coming back.

If he evades the rush and makes the play then so be it...but you go and attack him and mistakes can turn into turnovers.

one would think after last week. fans would stop with silly 49-0 predictions. the cards almost got us last time. again. its probably a 3 point game. either way

They're silly for a reason. I'm pretty sure anyone making those predictions isn't serious.

That's terrific insight. They barely won by 3 against them too so it's fresh in his mind. Ahmad Brooks was a master at this from the SAM. He'd instantly shoot up field to seal the edge while watching the play and then read/react...funnel the run (QB too) inside or make the TFL or finish the momentum towards the QB for a contained pressure/hit/sack. Fangio constantly praised this but it lead to less sacks because of that slight hesitation to first play the edge need at that moment vs. just pinning your ears back and solely focusing on getting to the QB (inside or outside).

That's a long winded way of saying you can kind of play both with your rush technique but that extra .5 seconds can be all the difference when you read/react.

Hmmm... I'm curious now how Kocurek/Saleh plays this, Meth Squirrel.

cc, homers gonna homer. I love this team, and sure we are capable of dominating people if we play our best ball. But halfway through, we're still not totally tuned up yet. Hopefully we get there by the end of the regular season. I get the faith in the team, but the lack of respect for opponents makes me shake my head.

It's whatever.. but yeah, again, I agree with you like I did last week. I think this is a one score game again. I pray we are on the better side of it this week.
AZ gonna get an angry SF squad...birds are gonna get smashed.
