⛏ SF 49ERS vs AZ CARDINALS 🌵 Gameday Thread - 2019 Season Week 11

The positive thing about this team is that they have the ability to come back when they're down. Something Harbaugh can't do.

No worries. It's been his thing since he got here. Jimmy G made the o-line instantly better because of his quick release. He didn't play perfectly last week but did enough to win. That should have been a routine kick. There has been a lot of good QB play in the West. Gonna be very interesting.
Agreed 100%. Each week will be a test. Nothing comes easy in this league way too much parity within 80% of the league in talent. Coaching and execution come into play and our division has 3 good young coaches and one old ass hag in Carroll lol 😂

My opinion on Carroll and Wilson.

Screw those guys!

Sutton could out stat him with just 6 games (maybe less) while Kitty plays 16. That is pathetically sad

I watched the Broncs play today. Sutton catches everything near him - tough catches, easy catches, in-between catches. All I could think of while watching him was our receivers except for Sanders. smdh

Imagine if the Broncos had a guy like Sanders to play with Sutton.

They have overcome a lot of mistakes this year. So many TDs called back and other plays that would have broke us in the past.

We've been lucky to only play bad teams up to this point, with the exception of the mediocre/ok/mildly good Seahawks who beat us. The schedule gets much tougher now. I don't think GB is great, but they're better than any team we've faced so far. The Ravens are the best team in the league and the Saints are the best team in the NFC. Going to be tough to not go 0-3 unless we get a lot better.

I'm not complaining, I'm just looking forward. Celebrating a close win over a bad Cardinals team isn't something fans expecting a deep playoff run should do. However, considering we just locked up our first winning season in 5 years and our only non-Harbaugh one since 2002, taking a few minutes to be happy with the team is understandable.

Our toughest game on the schedule is going to be your Falcons, bruh...they hot AF right now.

I hope we can score at least 1 TD on them

What happened to the field goal after the last td???????

It's called a point after touchdown (PAT), and there is a newish rule that it doesn't happen after a game winning (ending?) score .

Fangio's a funny man. Oh well, our gain

Yeah it is fortunate to have a talent like Wilson. Our defense hasn't been playing up to their potential but I noticed our secondary got noticeably better with a healthy McDougald and a quality addition in Quandre Diggs. Having Reed back from suspension and finally a somewhat healthy D line and were able to nutt one out against an elite San Francisco 49er team at Levi, I couldn't ask for much more. Wilson can carry this team when the D isn't playing great I guess.

Agree. Adversity does not frighten them. As a complete team they play hard till the clock runs out.
Before Shanahan, when I signed on here it seemed that the game was over in the minds of many players by halftime. The change in attitude is not just personnel but a buy in on what the coaches put in place. (Remember last year, s**t results but great effort and belief in what they were doing)

It's becoming a love hate thing with Jimmy, dude stands in there like a champ at times, but still makes terrible decisions at crucial times. We put ourselves in the position of fighting for wins in games we should easily win without mistakes.
Sooner or later it's going to catch up with us if we don't get it straightened up.

Anyways, yes LT cam thru on that play.

What league are people watching???? There are no great teams anymore hence every week is a struggle. What good teams steamroll opponents every week bad or good??? Anyone? Anyone? I can live with the pick he threw to Dwelley but the Hicks one ugh. Still had a lot of great throws and plays better than the talent around him. Niners need to get Kittle, Ford and Jones healthy and they will be good to go. 9-1 9 and freaking 1. Nobody saw that. So HA!
That play call on the TD pass to Wilson was perfectly timed. Anyone else notice it looked nearly identical to the TD Kittle caught right down the seam against the Browns pretty much same field position. Anyway, great play and execution.

It's hilarious because when we were blowing teams out people wanted to say "Well Jimmy needs to lead a comeback."

And now its "Jimmy needs to lead a comeback with no INTs."
