⛏ SF 49ERS vs AZ CARDINALS 🌵 Gameday Thread - 2019 Season Week 11

Yeah it is fortunate to have a talent like Wilson. Our defense hasn't been playing up to their potential but I noticed our secondary got noticeably better with a healthy McDougald and a quality addition in Quandre Diggs. Having Reed back from suspension and finally a somewhat healthy D line and were able to nutt one out against an elite San Francisco 49er team at Levi, I couldn't ask for much more. Wilson can carry this team when the D isn't playing great I guess.

You beat the B-/C offense who basically beat themselves.
In any NFL season you are going to be tested and the niners passed. They will play better next week, Breida was missed.

It's hilarious because when we were blowing teams out people wanted to say "Well Jimmy needs to lead a comeback."

And now its "Jimmy needs to lead a comeback with no INTs."

Only idiotic national media pundits were saying that.

I'd really love to know, who on webzone is really saying that? The real fans.

That's so f**king dumb.

I will always take mistake free football, instead of costly turnovers that may make us lose late. Over flashy stats and acknowledgement from the national media.

Man, I'm glad we won this game - couldn't imagine the zone if we'd lost.

I'm glad we did too. It was strange because during the game when we were down, I still had complete confidence we were going to win.

Last time I felt like that was when I watched patriots and falcons in the Super Bowl. During halftime I was so confident the patriots were going to come back. It was still insane to watch but I had this weird gut feeling.

This is the NFL. Quarterbacks are going to make mistakes, throw picks, fumble the ball, not convert on third down. No such thing as 'mistake free' football.

What I instead want to see is a quarterback overcome his mistakes. With the game on the line, I want to see a quarterback make the right reads and hit the right WRs. That was Jimmy today.

Both interceptions were bad on his part (completely misread the defense and then threw it behind the receiver), but when it mattered most, Jimmy came through.

Yeah, everyone would have been saying it was a trap game - I knew all along we'd pull it out.

They are like the 2017-2018 Niners. Some promising stretch and competitive, but in the end just not enough for a win.

They should be better if they can hold it together through the tough times and not fall apart

I give Jimmy credit for leading a comeback, but we may have lost this game if the defense didn't force a three and out after his 2nd INT. He was lucky to even have an opportunity to come back.

I am not saying he is terrible, and we should bench him for Mullens. I still want him to be our starting QB.
Jimmy pissed me off so bad with that 2nd INT, I stopped watching. Came back on the end of the last scoring drive.
