I love you OP! A terrible showing and it starts at the top with Kyle.

Kyle had nothing to do with the dropped passes and turnovers that were momentum killing mistakes. Take away the turnovers, hell never mind the turnovers, if our WRs would've caught 5 of those 10 dropped passes we would've won the game.
We were the better team, but due to injuries to key players, turnovers, and dropped passes, we were lucky to even have a chance to win that game.

If the 9ers won, nfl losses money. Now look the narrative is the importance of week 17. That fake 4-1 spot and "the moment is too big" told me everything.

But more than anything I'm sick and tired of losing to the Seahawks in every key game. Can we just beat them 1 time ever in a really big game that matters?
technically it wasn't really a big game, more of a prove that your a top team to the world game. We really didn't lose top place in the NFC west or the overall NFC conference.
A Monday Night game with teams of that record and that magnitude was a big game. At least by regular season standards. It also effects our division race big time. We would be up 3 games and beat them head to head had we won. Now we are up by 1 narrow game. Plus they beat us head to head. We also have to go to their house late in the year. It's about as big as a regular season game can get.
Couldn't agree more.

Lol the way some fans react to a loss just makes me wonder how they handle problems in their life.
oh. Something didn't go exactly how I wanted it to? f**k THIS! BLOW THE WHOLE THING UP!
Haha you just learn from it and then fight the good fight the next day.

Yeah we couldn't of lost to a worse team from a playoff implications standpoint.
Truthfully the way it is looking - week 17 will be for the division and hopefully a first round bye but we may be on a collision course for a third game in the playoffs.

Another win will quickly have us all feeling a little better. Sunday can't come soon enough. Please handle the Cardinals and go into the next stretch of games with momentum!...

Here's a fun fact for you guys: Before Monday's game, the 49ers were tied for the 2nd least amount of drops in the NFL with 4. After Monday night, they are now 6th worst with 13 team drops. The Colts/Bears are tied for 1st with 15.
Two more drops and the team would've gone from 2nd BEST in the NFL to the WORST in the NFL in dropped passes. Let that sink in. I don't have the game-by-game numbers, but that had to have been the single worst game of the season by any team in the NFL in terms of drops.

They could say the same thing about turnovers and a couple of dropped passes. Not to mention some questionable penalties. It's part of the game. Let's get over it and move on.

While not a blowout, maybe this game will be the catalyst to propel the 49ers to the playoffs like the 40-8 loss to the Eagles in 1994. Prior to that game, the 49ers were 3-1 (only loss to the Montana-led Chiefs), and then they got whooped by the Eagles so badly that Seifert benched Steve Young. After that game, the 49ers went on a tear to when the rest of their games, with the exception of the final game against the Vikings because the rested all the starters and let the backups play.
This team knows what losing feels like, and, now that they know how winning feels, I'm confident that they will straighten themselves out, especially given the upcoming stretch of tough games against the Saints, Packers, and Ravens. Neither the Saints nor the Packers scare me as much now as they did earlier in the season; they've shown they can be beat. In order to defeat the Ravens, we need to play perfect football, which I believe we can.
We still have seven more games to go! We're not done yet!
Go Niners!

It's funny because this was the game where most people predicted where we getting our first loss. I understand the sentiments and frustrations but if we're going to be rational this is actually a good thing like a blessing in disguise sort of thing. First, we are composed of mostly rookies without much game winning experience in the NFL and even most of our few veterans haven't won for a while either. So talking about reality check, this is perfect timing. Second, talking about perfect timing, the loss happened during the regular season or else if it was during the playoffs then that would have been our last game. Third, we got to know more and better who our players are. For example, we found out that the replacement kicker is not going to be reliable in those situations. Fourth, Shanahan acknowledged the idea of going for a tie but since we we're 8-0, he had the luxury to be more aggressive with his play calling, showing his players that he had confidence with them. He would have called it differently if it was a different playoff game. Moving forward, the most important thing is our team will learn from this. They just going to get better in all aspects. One thing we have that most teams don't have is our defense can win games by itself. That's a terrific advantage. When I was in the navy, I learned that there will be times when you do damage control either by fighting a fire or saving the ship or boat from sinking or saving people from drowning, etc. etc. There was not a moment where we pushed the panic button and those we're our finest hours because we were able to save lives and accomplished missions by being calm and focused. So just relax and keep enjoying the journey, our Niners will be a'ight.Originally posted by tankle104:Lol the way some fans react to a loss just makes me wonder how they handle problems in their life.

Well that's not true, ya'll are acting like we got killed yet it took them to the last sec of OT to win.
SF was so depleted of talent that it just wasn't gonna happen. Our OTs weren't ready to play and should have sat one more week IMO. No kittle/Sanders and a kicker off the streets? Gould makes that kick and it's ball game.
We have issues, but in no way are we not ready for prime time players. Wilson was sacked 5x, had a INT & Fumble, and had his 2nd worst QBrating of the yr (their loss to Baltimore was the worst).
I guess I meant the Staley and McGlinchey show - they totally didn't show up.
