So many wild Overreactions this morning.
-Russ Wilson: we make that kick, we're talking about how RW actually choked that game away...he had two costly turnovers in the 4th and in OT.
-One Loss: this isn't as big because we won 8 straight. Could mean something down the road but...
-we need to move on: Gotta have that "on to Cincinnati" mindset. Let's take care of business with AZ
-Health: this is what's important. If we are healthy at the end of the season, I believe we can go real deep in the playoffs even if we start from a WildCard position.
Let's not overreact...it's one loss, our only one at the moment. The only thing telling of this game is that, we aren't the same team without our key players...no team is. And our Defense doesn't give up...the DK Metcalf right before halftime was an example.
OP said it was an "utterly embarrassing" night for us. I strongly disagree. That game could've been, but we
battled all night....nothing embarrassing about that at all.
Bang Bang NinerGang!
Is E-40 making a "theme song" for us a jinx? Look what he did to the Warriors!

Team needed to be knocked down a peg. Injuries are killing us and tackles didn't seem like they were ready for the speed of the game. We'll recover.

I agree...wake up call was needed.....the only reason this stings is who we lost too, not that the 49ers lost a game.
What I really like , we get to see how mature Shanny 2.0 is. Does he have stones to bench Staley or Jimmy G if need be?

We're 8-1 and crying like someone snatched our candies and toys from us. C'mon MAN!!!!
Humble pie is good at this point.
Also don't forget, it could always be worse, the Saints just lost at home to a 1 win rival team.

Im still sick, this loss to the team i hate makes it worse. Why cant we just beat Seattle? Im distraught, i knew were gonna lose a couple games, but the team i didnt want to lose to was against Seattle. Especially at home. Bourne needs to go, cant catch a damn ball when it matters to save his life. Whats with our tackles... many they looked bad.

* Nine drops combined between Bourne, Deebo, Goodwin, Pettis, and Juice. I found that utterly embarrassing.
* Staley and McGlinchey both got run over and/or walked back into the pocket with ease, among every other way to get beat. I found that utterly embarrassing.
* Garoppolo was sacked 5 times, threw 1 INT called back on penatly and two other near INTs in crunch time. Could also argue the throw Bourne should've caught was not a good pass either. He threw multiple passes off target either too far out in front, in the dirt, or way over their heads all night. He also tried to do too much and got strip sacked twice, including giving up a scoop and score. I find all of that to be utterly embarrassing.
* Breida led the team with 10 carries on the night, and had a putrid 1.8 yds/carry average. I found that utterly embarrassing.
* Shanahan was content to let the clock run out at the half, despite having a timeout and the ball at the 25 with plenty of time to drive for a FG, and knowing the Hawks would get it in the 2nd half. When the Hawks called a timeout, we decided to kneel it down and pack it in like pansies, which sucked the air out of the stadium it felt. Fans booed as we walked off the field, and we made it look like we were scared and weak. He later went for it on 4th and 2.5 yards instead of kicking a FG that the guy clearly had the leg for. Third, instead of managing the clock properly late in OT, Shanahan dialed up three consecutive passes that instead of it being a "either we win or no one does" situation, it flipped it and gave Seattle that opportunity instead. I find all that utterly embarrassing.
Our defense played a heck of a game, but outside of that, it was an embarrassing effort offensively and coaching-wise. I feel like all of the above evidence supports that notion.

Not gonna overreact, but I warned y'all this was coming when the 49ers struggled against Kyler Murray. The defense has a problem with running quarterbacks. Obviously the returning Ol players were rusty. Losing Kittle and Gould was devastating, there was no coming back from that.

"I did not see a single creative play design all night"
That's a good thing. Why give a team tape of our good plays that we might face in the playoffs.
This is a meaningless game. I'd rather win in the playoffs

-Staley just wiffed and didn't even make contact on one of this sacks. They really had issues on what should have been an average assignment.
-Ill give shanny a pass, he wanted to get to the locker room and re-group, but i feel yah, as a massive shanny 2.0 fan, dude.... his hands aren't clean in this either.

We weren't going undefeated. I'm not that worried about the loss itself because we fought hard. More concerning is that our offense is now exposed without Kittle and Sanders to make it good.
If they are out any significant amount of time, it will be a rocky 2nd half of the season. Lynch needs to be exploring options and working out wide receivers on the street. This is just shameful what we have right now

Humble pie is good but seeing the drop off after Sanders went down is scary
