We are the #1 seed. We're defending it.

Dick on the table stretch of our schedule. We either measure up or we run home crying.

Sure wish we could get a clear answer on kittle.
I think the team and decision makers do. Fans don't need to know.
I hope Kyle says all week that Kittle won't play, then SURPRISE, he's ready to go Sunday night.
Just swap the colors lol.

Honestly, I'm trying to think like how the Pat's and Warriors think here...play the long game. Use the regular season to position yourself but don't sacrifice everything in the interim.
Get everybody healthy. We're going to the playoffs no matter what. With defense and hopefully, a running game back once everyone is healthy and a QB who can win various ways, that should be the focus.
Still try to win of course but don't sacrifice Kittle's knee, or Ford's hamstring or Staley's finger or Deebo's shoulder or Sander's ribs, etc.

I'm not sure that's the case. The other problem we have is the NFC is stacked this year.
It's very possible that if we lose 2 more games we may find ourselves playing in the wild card game.
Given that our bye week was all the way back in week 4 a bye week would be absolutely HUGE for us. Not only does it guarantee us playing in the divisional round but it also gives us much needed rest heading into that game.
Obviously it's a balancing act. You don't want to lose guys for the season trying to get the bye week but losing that Seahawks game was a huge killer for us. Seattle's schedule isn't all slam dunk teams but it's far from difficult. We still control our destiny since we play them week 17 but I'd hate for that to be a must win game for us.
Hopefully we take care of business and really show we're ready to make a run these next 3 weeks then close out and win the games that we're favored to win.
But it all starts Sunday night. Have to win at home before the brutal road trip to the east coast.

The entire national media thinks we're frauds after we padded our record against bad teams and then lost to the first good team we faced. Winning these next 3 games would go a long ways towards proving them wrong.

As Sherman has said, we can only play the teams in front of us.

Well, we've lost one game in which we didn't play well and still had a chance for a game winning FG. But that said, winning this game will definitely change the national media's perspective on the 49ers.
