Well, we've lost one game in which we didn't play well and still had a chance for a game winning FG. But that said, winning this game will definitely change the national media's perspective on the 49ers.

We need The DLine to wreck the Packers OL the entire game.

I'm sure you'll be here to tell us how we weren't impressive enough if we do win

You're just relishing the thought of us losing. LoSt tO tHe fIrSt GoOd tEaM wE fAcEd. gtfo.
Dee Ford thread told me to gtfo :(
49ers go 2-1 in the next 3 games, Saints & Packers can be beat but Baltimore will be tough. Hottest team in football right now and we have to play them at 10am. 11-2 and two wins against the top NFC teams would be huge. Just need Seattle to slip up and lose a game or 2 and we'll be back in the driver seat for HFA

As Sherman has said, we can only play the teams in front of us.

Exactly, I mean where was the media at when Seattle loss to both New Orleans and Baltimore? Why weren't they frauds after losing to them?

Seattle weren't pissing in everyone's cheerios when many members of the current media were growing up in the 80s and 90s.

Putting it in alternating caps doesn't mean it's not true. Also, that's the perception of the national media about this team. Whether it is true or not is debatable, but that's the perception. If we win these next 3 games, that perception won't hold much water anymore.

Rams, Panthers, and even the Cardinals are considered good teams. Especially the Rams and Panthers at the time that we faced them.
I just look at the stats of last year's game against the Packers and the Packers played almost perfect football and still almost beat by 3rd string QB. I hope this upcoming match is close as well

If the 3-7-1 Cardinals, who have lost 4 straight games and have the 32nd ranked defense, are considered a good team then there are no bad teams. The other two would best be described as mediocre.

+1 for 1251. Remember the discussion heading into our week 6 matchup vs. LA? It was all about how it was a monstrous test for the team, JG, and a possible changing of the guard in the NFC West.

It's now week 11 and the narrative is the same, but the teams are different. Now the Packers are our litmus test, but how will we fare? Just fine I'd say. We've got more than enough talent to beat them, and I'm sure that Shanahan will have a good gameplan in mind.

The OL will have to perform well and give Jimmy time to throw and go through his reads (unlike the Seattle game). Hopefully Kittle will play, Sanders will play through his pain, and expect another solid game from Deebo.

you cant just bring up media perceptions in one post and disregard them on your next. Look at their opinions on the cardinals. They all say they're a lot better than their record suggests and that theyre only going to get better as they move forward. Many even call them a good team who are going through learning experiences and growing pains. The media is surprised by and are high on the cardinals.

both the Panthers and Rams got knocked down a peg by the media after we made them look horrible. Since lots of the media thinks we're pretenders then by extension teams that get rocked by us must not be that good after the fact. Lets see what they think of the Packers after we play them.
