I'd rather have the Lombardi with a 10-6 record. I mean you don't remember the regular games - as fans you just remember the Super Bowls.
Yeah a regular season 10-6 record sucks (for example) because you have to go to another teams home and play against home field advantage, but it's been done before by this franchise - and the reason we had that 3rd Lombardi is because we had a healthy defense going into the playoffs despite a 10-6 record and were peaking at the right time.
I just don't want this team peaking too soon.

First thing we need is for Greenlaw and Warner to follow their assignments properly. They were both at times a bit undisciplined with their assignments and were not watching their man properly giving Murray a couple of chances to escape. Saleh's plan for mobile QBs is good. Hope he drills them a lot this week to contain Rogers. That will be a significant thing in this game.
Bosa has to learn to swivel his head a bit more. He got flattened once because he was too focused on who he was charging at.
Need more focus from McG and Skule. McG got thrown on his face quite a few times and needs to get it together. I understand he was a bit rusty after injury but now is the time to step up. Skule was looking awkward last Sunday as well. He needs to make his blocks.
Hope Kittle is back but if not Dwelley and Juice are there and doing fine.
Also hope Sanders is feeling less sore, though he might need another week to be on top of it.
My view is if the D particularly the LBs tighten it up and the Oline stops leaking and starts making its blocks then we will win. It will be a tough game. If Kittle is back it will be in the bag.

This stretch will give us invaluable experience for the playoffs. It's brutal and may help Seahawks take the division but it's basically like starting the playoffs early, no other team will have the experience of facing elite competition heading into the post season like we will have.

Yeah, they're saying that we will be facing the toughest 3 game stretch in NFL history.

The goal is always to win the Super Bowl. A 10-6 record makes that a lot harder. Playing on the road on the playoffs is hard. It's a catch 22.
Hopefully Kittle comes back strong. I think winning without Ford and Staley is doable, but the team is very different without Kittle.
But I agree with you that if we peak at the right time, we'll be celebrating #6. (Although that's a big IF)

Of course. Did you even think the football gods would give us a break? We're Finally a good team again. So we have to prove it over and over again. I think this team is ready for it. Go Niners!!!

Playing this stretch of good teams will only make our team better, win or lose.
The experience the team gets playing in big games, prepares them for the biggest game.
So far this year, in big games, they know how to lose one and win one.

A 10-6 record and we might not even make the playoffs lol that record would be very disappointing because we are 9-1 right now. If we go 1-5 the rest of the season - I think it would be pretty safe to say we aren't as good as we think we are.
All of our games Are tough but I think GB, ATL and LAR should be games we win. Tough games but we should win those ones.
Losing to the saints will hurt a lot for seeding and losing to Baltimore would suck but those two games will be extremely tough and back to back road games.
I just hope we beat Seattle in Seattle for the division and a first round bye come week 17

Is it just me or does it seam more like teams underestimate GB offense, especially their run-game, until GB comes out running it down a team's throat. Whereas SF is not surprising anyone due to Kyle's reputation so teams come into the game as focused as can be due to "Kyle's offense". GB has had a fairly easy schedule and after our game, will finish the season with an easy schedule.

I find it interesting (to say the least) that a team that has exceeded expectations that most fans had before the season started seem to have almost impossible expectations now. Like Sherman said earlier this season, stay humble. IMO, its best to just enjoy the ride and what a ride it has been so far. Idc whether they make the playoffs as #1 seed or the #6 seed. Playoff football is what it is all about.
