Agreed. I thought we were on our way to making a statement win vs Seattle until the injuries piled up. I think we make this our statement game

Nah, the media will continue to move the goalposts. They will be like "well AR forgot to trim his mustache" or something.
Go 49ers

Yes no doubt, but we don't need it to as long as Jimmy makes good throws and the receivers catch them. This is all dependent on the time given to him by the OL of course, but his quick release masks some of their issues.

Not quite that simple here though, Green Bay has the best secondary we've played this year. Jimmy would need to play a perfect game in order to carry us completely, because a lot of the passes that he'd normally complete or would just be regular "misses" are now going to be breakups or INTs against these guys.

Packers bottom 5 in total defense. 21st against the pass. 22 against the rush. Both Carolina and Cleveland have a better defense, Niners spanked both. Not worry about the Packs D, it's usually Rodgers rabbit hat.

As long as we can run the ball, I'm seeing a victory.

We do have to watch out for zadarius smith though...he's got some Cloweny in him. He's a f**k the play up type of player.

Like it has been said - pound the ball then go play action.

Well, to be fair, their defense I think has been more "bend but don't break". They are top half in other areas.

14th in PPG allowed.
13th in QB Rating against.
16th in sacks (tied)
7th in interceptions (tied)
10th in fumble recoveries (tied)

So it seems like they rely heavily on turnovers and the bend-but-don't-break philosophy.
Hopefully history will repeat itself. 1984 49ers lost only one game by 3 points, then went on to win the SB.

I like this kinda party
Running game has to produce , as good as jimmy is he is not Drew Brees, Ben, Rivers or Rodgers. He cant throw it 40 to 50 times a game and expect this team to win. They absolutely have to take some of the pressure off Jimmy. Big primetime game ,
Imagine if both the Seahawks and Saints lose in the morning. This game would become even bigger than it already is

He just did.

But I know what you mean and agree...
