Is wrong. We are both in control of our own destiny, as are a lot of teams. You also said they are actually in 1st, which makes even less sense

Imo if we end up facing Ravens again in SB we will know what we need to do to stop their offense. That means Ravens beat the Pats, but I guarantee you it was a tight, hard fought game with Belichick showing you how to defend them lol
Ingram is a very good RB and their OL is good at run blocking. If you stack the box, no one can remotely catch up with Jackson's outside runs. If you move everyone to LOS, he can throw pretty well. No solution, no scheme, no nothing can stop Ravens other than injuries or scandals.

I hope it rains really hard, and the field is really wet. We gotta stop this Lamar running attack somehow

Playing the cards twice and the Seahawks with their mobile QBs has left me with a good feeling about this game. Saleh is going to get it right. We're gonna win this.

Haha. The Browns beat them ... the BROWNS! The doom and gloom are just too much.

Personally, I'd like the 49ers to lose to the Ravens, Saints, and Seahawks. Then, in the playoffs, the 49ers beat the Cowboys, the Seahawks, the Saints, and then the Ravens. Then, all off season, I could go to their forums and read the threads from week x. Then I would compare them to the threads from the playoffs. With all that reading the off season would fly by

I will acknowledge that the Ravens look fierce. Should be a Super Bowl preview this Sunday.
Haven't heard (read) that in years. Thanks, great memories of the 80's.
...but I hope the niners don't shoot theirs on Sunday. I would rather beat the Saints.
The Niners need to take it back further than the 80s ... more like to the 70s where the mentality was to knock the other team's QB out of the game. We need a John Madden or Chuck Knoll-like implicit tolerance of a few roughing penalties to let the other team know what they're in for. Jackson needs his cage rattled a bit. If he's going to march up and down the field with total impunity, might as well make him black and blue and give him something to think about. This is how teams will eventually bring him down to earth, much like they did to Cam Newton. This year, though, he could be unstoppable.

we need the TOP on our side, run the football and dominate at the line. we cannot turn the ball over or get into a passing attack against them. run the football and we will win

We have seen this show before. Now we may have to eventually play these guys with a spy and then stack the box for the run then rush to contain the QB inside the hashes. Try to make him a pocket passer. That won't happen this week because that's not our MO but eventually we may be taught that lesson because we have only been threatened by mobile QBs

You better believe we will bring him some significant punishment this week

I just hope we get through this game without anymore injuries. If we get down by more than 2 scores early, I hope we pull the starters even if it is only still just the 1st quarter. No sense in losing someone to injury and letting a single game against an AFC team beat us more than once by costing us someone critical going forward.
