One of those games is recent and the other is not. Also, the Ravens completely revamped their defense and made multiple changes after that game. Statistically their defense has been the best in the league since they lost to the Browns. GB's only adjustment after the Chargers game was to try to party less on road trips.

revamped? explain? all they did was add Peters who's still feast or famine. What else have they changed?

Soooooo true. It's very obvious, as annoying as he is, it's been fun trying to see with what he'll come up with next while we keep winning

I wouldn't compare NE D to ours. I truly feel NE is overrated all around.

They're not. Don't forget who their coach is. "Do your job" is huge over there. Granted their defense is heavy on the back end but they were shutting down the running game of other teams much better than we have.

Now maybe Ravens coming off a bye week and how they unleashed their running game on them was a surprise and us seeing it in action a few times will help us find a way to limit them but Pats D is legit no question.
not only this game is big and also game of the week....and this game can tell us how good in the 49ers, The ravens in my opinion are the best team in the AFC. and there in the discussion of which team is the best NFL....they beat up the Rams on the road where they have to travel from Maryland.. Lamar Jackson who is the front runner for the rookie, they also have a good running game and a good Defense that is lead by Earl Thomas who Is still a great football player...when he hit Mason Rudolph earlier in the season, he didn't do on purpose, and you can tell in the interview, he really worried about Rudoph and he felt bad about it even though it wasn't his fault.....it just that hit was really hard and brutal, it shows that he still got it and he will make sure that the 49ers wideouts doesn't think twice going through the middle,......this will be 49ers toughest game, they have to play smart football, no dumb penalties like false start, or being offsides, and control there angry so they don't get unsportsmanlike... and the NFL is only sport where a home stadium can make a huge difference....so I can see this game maybe a close one...and I hope nobody gets hurt....now George Kittle is the best player on the 49ers offense, he needs to play in order to have a chance, even doesn't get a pass thrown to him...he makes a difference just his presence b/c the will focus on him or double team, and open up for other wide out....it seems like Deebo Samuel to be there #1 wide out....and we haven had where we drafted a wideout and becomes one of the best wide outs since Michael Crabtree who played outstanding in the 2012 season....we have Anquan Boldin, he was traded from the ravens after they won the super bowl, that is the last time we a good wide out.....I hope the 49ers are working hard all week and don't listen to the media that still have questions about 49ers, the 49er faithful will always stick with the 49ers through thick and Thin...and if we were to win a super bowl...it will be much more sweeter...Good luck 49ers, we will cheering you on back home...

Exactly. Rams fans probably thought they had a chance before the game too.

The Rams blow. Goff hasn't thrown a single TD in the month of November. They're barely a 500 team this yr.

I'm sure you had them beating SF though

Nah, I thought we'd win against the Rams. I did expect their offense to be a little better though.

So this was from the Rams pre-game thread. Not sure this was a 'thought we'd win' type dialogue:

Yes The Rams are better than the Browns. They actually almost lost to the Browns and let TB put up 55 pts at home to them. We smoked both teams, there's reason to believe they will win this game.
I said it will be a tough game, not that the 49ers won't win. While the Rams have some flaws, they are at home, badly need a win, and have had 4 extra days to prepare. They also are only a missed FG away from winning against Seattle in Seattle. We might still win in spite of all that, but it will be our toughest test so far imo.

Seems doubtful. Didn't hurt them at all last night. They continued to rape the Rams the next three quarters.

So your legitimate source is a Ravens fan now?
They lost their center...how sad ☹

Lost both our OT the last 4-6 weeks

DJ Jones gonna slip by their backup center and tackle both Lamar and the RB

I think by that time the Rams were mailing it in and waving the white flag.

I don't know how much that really changes anything.

Don't forget they were playing a team with the best DT in the game and nothing changed after he got hurt.

Now maybe the difference is Ravens won't be able to really double Jones like they could with Donald due to our other players but it's not going to be quite that easy unfortunately. They have some damn good OTs to pick up the slack on the outside too. Stanley is the #1 graded OT in the league this year on PFF. Brown is #14.

REALLY tough matchup for us. We'll need a monster game from Warner and the linebackers. Thankfully after a trash showing against Arizona on Thursday night he's been playing at an extremely high level and he'll have to keep doing it.

Definitely our guys have to bring their A game when it comes to tackling.

Who better to ask about the Ravens than their fans?
The biggest thing the Ravens did defensively was blitz more.

How are you still here? lol

In all my years on the webzone, I've never seen a troll under the guise of a 49er fan last this long.

You are incredible, my friend. A modern day "Catch-Me-If-You-Can".

The only differences I'm seeing in personnel is Tony Jefferson got placed on IR and now they're playing Chuck Clark at SS (Jefferson is better IMO) and they lost Pernell McPhee for the yr as well. They've been playing Ferguson who's actually been a downgrade.

So outside of Peters nothing has been a real upgrade. As far as scheme goes before last night they were bottom of the league in sacks and generated a ton of pressures via blitzing. IMO their D kinda reminds me of the Panthers just without the overall talent on the DL and at LBer.

Easy to have a stud D when you're offense is putting up the points they have been. Teams are forced to throw the ball
