Ugh, yep those were killers on our game against the Midget and his band of seachickens. John Harbaugh is a good coach, he comes from a defensive background and special teams, and now it looks like he's found an offensive formula that seems to be working for him. Not quite the Bo Shembechler offense that Jim always favored, but it's working in the NFL at the moment.

I'm actually really interested in seeing how this plays out in the next few years. We all know too well how good defenses can adjust the next year after seeing something new from a young qb. But Lamar is a better passer than Kap so its intriguing.

Agree, we have some talented Mobile QB's in our division. If anybody comes up with a defense to stop the RPO and mobile QB's, it should be **us** because we'll be facing it 4 times a year until Midget retires. My other thought is to just join them. I.e, draft your own Steve Young 2.0 at some point in time down the road when it makes sense. I.e. steve young was drafted when Montana's health deteriorated - and at some point in time, maybe say after Jimmy wins 3 super bowls and he's getting long in the tooth - draft a mobile QB as his back up as Walsh did with Steve (to backup Joe).

Not to bust yo chops but Walsh didn't draft Young. But I do agree we are well experienced in playing against mobile QB's and should be able to limit the damage done by LJ

Just one correction, Young wasn't drafted. Walsh traded for him since Tampa bay had him on the bench.

Would love to see what you post there.

I don't post on other team sites. I only pay attention to some of the neutral NFL forums, because you get more objective takes when fans of different teams are all lumped together.

What are they saying? What's the Ravens weaknesses? Or do they have none? I understand fans of a team can be homers sometimes, but fans of other teams don't watch us enough to have real insight. That being said, we are the best team in the league and the Ravens are Gona find that out soon.
Steve Young was not drafted by the 49ers. He was drafted in the USFL. Once it folded, he was drafted in a supplemental draft to Tampa Bay. Then he was traded to 49ers in 1987.

Oh noez. The niners are better off forfeiting the game

I can't believe this fool is getting away with saying we should rest our starters because they're going to get banged up and we're going to lose anyway. That's what I'm guessing he's saying here because I blocked his posts when I saw this vomit he was spewing from his mouth in another thread.

Could very well happen but it's ludicrous. Not even a high school coach would stoop to that level of cowardice. Can we just ban his ass already?

That's asinine.

Is it? If I said that we should let Staley and Ford sit out another week to ensure they're healthy for the Saints game instead of rushing them back for this game (assuming they're healthy enough to play) I don't think most people would argue against that even though it probably wouldn't improve our chances in the Ravens game. We need to have our sights on the long term success of the team. If we get down by more than 3 scores early in this game, there's no good reason not to pull our starters. It's not worth exposing them to injury on the small chance we come back.

This ain't preseason homie. Nor week 17. This rationalization of yours is way off base. Your team fights to the bitter end win or lose. There's only 16 games a season. You don't tank a game to stay healthy. You risk more injury putting backup players in with starters. You can't put all backups in in the regular season.

JohnnyD, what do you think, Ravens pull out 1000 trap runs on us?

We have not been afraid of dealing with injury all season long. No need to change up now

Agreed...this team is 10-1 with ALL the injuries it's faced. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. I'm damn proud of this team this year. I got hope when the past years have sucked ass. I'm not about to be scared or pessimistic of any team. They gotta beat us and that's pretty damn cool!

I'll never forget the non-calls on the final three plays of the SB. To me the no-PI on the final play was the least egregious. The helmet to helmet two plays earlier was far worse.
