Lots of s**t talking in that Ravens forum.

Its almost like they are treating us like a sub 500 team coming in.

We all know the Ravens are going to be a tough game. They just think its already a done deal and won't be close.

They haven't faced a defense like ours - they're going to get their ass handed to them.

Well they sure haven't faced a D like ours before and i do hope we hand their azz to them . What i wonder about tho, is just how long Kyle has been working on this game and what he has worked with Saleh about how to handle Lamar. No question the guy is a superb athlete and a very fine QB. He runs like a gazelle and weighs almost as much. All muscle, no fat.

Kyle is really particular about NOT talking about upcoming games, but once he realized what he and John had built, and knew where we were headed, i wonder just when he started preparing for this game. And don't kid yourself..,.kyle will have had a huge hand in how we defense "the unstoppable" . This will be this yrs best game period. At least i hope it is. I just would like to see us get out of there with no more injuries.

And it's a good thing we had roughly 10-12 DTs on the team early on in that we are going thru them like a hot knife thru butter.

I think we should be more concerned about if we will score enough against them. They have a damn good defense too, the best we will have faced to this point. By far. On the road. In an extremely hostile environment. Baltimore has one of the low key best home field advantages there is when they are good. Luckily we have KS but if we make too many mistakes this will be a problem. Can we keep up on offense is what I'm actually more concerned with.

The most points thr Ravens can score at any given time is 7 or 8. Can we do enough on offense to keep pace with that? That's honestly the matchup I'm most excited to see.

I was about to bring it up myself.

The fact is teams can't score against the Ravens.

I wondered why until I started looking into it. Their D-line is stout AF.

And this is what I found, their D-line might not be full of sack masters like our boys, but their line is built on size and physicality to stop the run. There is a reason why they are ranked 3rd in Run D when the 9ers are all the way down at 19th. Our D-line personnel types are totally different.

So, get this, how much do you think our DTs weigh? Take Buckner for example, the dude is 300 lbs. And their DTs? 325, 336, 340, 350.

And guess how much our own DEs weigh? Dee Ford 255, Bosa 266. And theirs? 287, 300.

While they might not be getting many sacks, they are nevertheless going to collapse the pocket in a big way. This is further compounded by the fact that the 9ers has the smallest/lightest O-line in the entire NFL. So, believe me, Jimmy G will be feeling it. But, that is not the end of the story, their back end aren't exactly scrubs neither which kind of explains when teams tried to throw on them they couldn't neither on top of not being able to run against those giants.

And this is kind of my fear. If the field is too wet/muddy then those D-linemen will be pushing us around. If it is just dry enough I think we will be OK with our scheme.

Pats have a so so line and pedestrian offense this year, had about the same amount of yards as ravens and it was 24-20 headed into the 4th. If you want to crown the ravens then crown em!

Is simple physics. If is down to a bar fight scenario in the mud, their pure size and strength will without doubt out-physical the 9ers.

The 9ers are only physical on the defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, we are essentially a finesse team that wins on clever schematics and speed. Our O-line will never be able to handle really physical dudes. Our O-line is primarily a zone blocking line, when it comes to pass protection we are pretty sh*t actually if I am being honest.
Honestly, I think KS & Salah saved the hitting the QB on every RPO play gameplan for this specific game. They didn't wanna give away anything the last couple of weeks that would show the Ravens that we know how to defend this kind of offense so they could gameplan accordingly. Expect our DEs to put a lick on LJ on every RPO play.

When did they play the Pats? A long time ago. Unless you have watched the games which I have, they have in fact improved substantially.

It is not about crowing them, but by the same token talking tough will get you nowhere neither. Put it this way, there is a reason why Vegas has come out with a 49ers +4.5 line.

Do to them what they did to us in years past

Oh noez. The niners are better off forfeiting the game

I can't believe this fool is getting away with saying we should rest our starters because they're going to get banged up and we're going to lose anyway. That's what I'm guessing he's saying here because I blocked his posts when I saw this vomit he was spewing from his mouth in another thread.

Could very well happen but it's ludicrous. Not even a high school coach would stoop to that level of cowardice. Can we just ban his ass already?

That's asinine.

Is it? If I said that we should let Staley and Ford sit out another week to ensure they're healthy for the Saints game instead of rushing them back for this game (assuming they're healthy enough to play) I don't think most people would argue against that even though it probably wouldn't improve our chances in the Ravens game. We need to have our sights on the long term success of the team. If we get down by more than 3 scores early in this game, there's no good reason not to pull our starters. It's not worth exposing them to injury on the small chance we come back.

Expect the refs to have flags ready to over protect the new NFL golden boy

Doubtful. He ain't manning Brady Brees or Rodgers. In BAL he may be but not as far as the NFL

In looking at the teams the 49ers beat, their 10-1 record is weak. They beat the Packers yes, but look at how well Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson (running QBs) did against their defense.

Plus don't they have a suspect OL? Jimmy G is more immobile than Goff.

We'll neutralize their passrush by running right down their throats. I don't know about demoralizing them, but I see us winning. I'm actually more concerned about the Bills than I am about the 49ers.

Not the first time I've heard opposing fans singing this strategy and it didnt work out so well for them.

See what I mean now?

One other thing, you know what makes things worse? People now know the 9ers can't deal with mobile QBs. Our fantastic D-line is only most effective when playing against pocket passers. If the QB gets out of pocket like Kyler Murray which Lamar Jackson will be doing in a huge way, to date Saleh still doesn't have an answer for it.

If the 9ers can trail behind the Cards with only 39 secs left on the clock, I hate to think what the Ravens might be able to do. If I am being honest, I believe we will be able to score more than the Texans and Rams, but I still smell at the very least a semi-blow out. I can only pray I am totally wrong about this.
