We don't suck vs the run, we're avg vs it. Teams just game plan to run the ball vs us because we're historically good vs the pass.

We're better than average, were actually very good against the run. The stats show differently mainly because of chunk plays (Kyler Murry, Russel Wilson, Drake).

So, chunk plays don't count?

What makes you think other factors or a feeling out process didn't contribute to getting run over in the beginning? Did a pretty good job shutting them down the rest of the game. Hell we've don't a good job shutting everyone down.

He also forgot that we just completely shutdown a future HOF QB and a top 5 playoff team in the NFL. Yet, we're still getting blowout by LJ and his Ravens because they blew out the 3rd best team in our division. Lol. Grow some marbles and have some faith in our team. Niners are 10-1 for a reason.

You are what your record is. And as far as I know, I think our record is 10-1?

Yes, indeed and the record also says we are 19th against the run.

...and we're 10 and 1. If I'm ahead by 14+ points in the late third QTR, do I care whether you run or not? Not really, I'd rather you run and bleed time off the clock than pass for chunk yardage and even up that score. So guess what, I'm playing my wide 9 and having my defense go after the QB. Go ahead and run traps, sweeps, and counters - I don't care - as long as you can't gain yardage in the air. It serves my purpose to bleed the clock and put the game away with the pass rush. There's a saying that NCommmand always says when I get into a stat argument with him. He says, "There's lies, damn lies, and statistics."

Look at the Green Bay drive in the 2nd half, they moved the ball on the ground, they scored, but how long did it take them to score?

You are assuming you are up by 2 scores. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case with mobile QBs we have faced. Kyler Murray was marching down the field at will. Boom 16-0 and I haven't even finished my first beer. Do you remember how Jimmy G had to step up to play catch-up when the D couldn't stop Murray and we couldn't run the ball neither? And that was a Cardinals team with a losing record whereas now we are talking about a 9-2 Ravens team that has beaten the Pats, Seahawks, Texans and Rams.

On any given day, any team in the NFL can beat *any* team in the NFL. Add: that includes *us* vs the vaunted *ravens*

Not according to Rascal and Skittle because of FACTS and EXTREME ANXIETY
We're lucky to have this string of games. We will likely play Packers, Seahawks, and/or saints in the post season. Hell I would rather play Ravens than the Patriots for the experience. It's practice for the playoffs. A bye week and division title would be nice (and we can still get them) but game planning against these elite teams will help in the long run. That's the most important thing.

Rascal, a wise man once told me. It's not how you start, but it's how you finished son.

Yes the Cardinals jumped to a fast 16-0 lead. But remind me, who finished and won that game? Yes..the Niners did.

Btw, you need to upgrade your drinking game because it took them a full quarter and a half to jump to a fast 16-0. If you can't finish a beer within a quarter and a half of football then I'm sad for you because my grandma drinks a whole 6 pack within 20 minutes.

AZ is playing better ball then you give them credit for. I wouldn't be shocked if they beat LA this week. Also if not for some BS PI calls that AZ game wouldn't have been as close as you're saying...that first series they got bailed out by a challenged PI call that lead to them on the 4 yard goal line (which we stuff and lead to a FG).

Ravens are gonna be stupid tough. They're damn good. I do think you're wayyy too black and white with how you determine things about football. AZ and Baltimore don't run the same type of offense, not even close.

Agree. And I'll just add, the Wide 9 alignment has inherent flaws against a running attacks. But you can modify the Wide 9 to strengthen it against the run, pretty easy. We use the Wide 9 to get our DT's as well as the DE's involved in pass rushing, because we have some really talented DT's as well as DE's. The reason we use the Wide 9 is because we're typically ahead most of the time in most games, so we key in on stopping the opposing passers with it.

I agree...just pinch inside more closer to 7T or even 5T if you need too. Bring a LB/S down and I think having a true 2i in Jones helps clog things up well too.

Yeah it's not like they're married to the wide 9 and honestly I'm not sure how often they line up in it on the first two downs

One thing this team does week in and week out is make adjustments to whom their playing. It will be interesting for sure

No doubt. And I like that approach. Pass rush is more important. But make the team PROVE they can consistently gash you first before making any adjustments. Adjust.
Lol wouldn't it be sweet to see the look on Romans face after he realizes he isn't a great play caller

We deal in facts here. Did you know the Ravens offense has not even punted the ball once in 3 games? When was the last time you came a cross a team which could do that?

If you are dealing in facts you should assure your facts are at least correct. Ravens have punted twice in the last 3 games and that is reflected on the stat sheets.
