I don't like the weather factor and I hate that I bring up the S.B. but damn that game has still been in my head and I hate the Ravens and that damn alleged murderer Ray Lewis.

Other then pummeling Kap whenever he ran the option, it was mostly Jim making dumb mistakes.

Refs helping the ravens didn't help the Niners at all...
I remember one call in particular- Ravens running into the kicker, and on his plant leg. Was not even called.

Love it. Can't wait to see what happens now. Might not help us win the game, but heck freaking yeah is that a bonus driving/motivating factor now. Thanks, Earl!

How did he disrespect the niners? He just said we will see who comes out of nfc. If anything he insulted the rest of the afc

By saying they were good enough for the SB but the Niners may or may not be.

Im sorry but that play you're referring to was against the Seahawks when Bowman gave up his leg. But that S.B. was one of the worst officiated games. The damn Ravens CB put his hands on the ref that was an ejection but didn't happen. Bad calls on both teams, Niners were lucky to almost pull it off, stupid slow start and horrible first half! Jim got owned by his bro!
This is the second time this season where I feel like we're probably not going to win (@ Rams was the other). But I do think the Ravens will be enjoying the limelight as the "best team in the NFL" so we may have a slight psychological edge.

I think we'll have to sell out vs the run and live with the passing game.

I've been hearing this all year.

Once again reminds me of the clip of Bill Walsh slumped in the locker room before the Dolphins super bowl saying they have no chance against Marino and the Marks. "I don't know how we're even gonna stop them" to paraphrase.

I remain super pumped that the Niners are so obviously in the conversation this year that I'm letting the "prove it" part play out as a component of the season long marathon, as opposed to a match up that seems stacked against us.
This is the stuff champions are made of.
Go Niners.

Good post. :)

I read this and wonder why we extended J.Ward and didn't make a move to get Earl Freaking Thomas here when Uncle Sherm was pushing for it. He's back to playing at a probowl level and has effected their D much the same way Ingram has effected their O.

Are you joking? This decision has been fully redeemed at this point. Ward is playing great and is a hell of a lot cheaper than Thomas, who is on the wrong side of his career arc.

Ward has also never flipped his own team off.

AGree. John was the smarter brother, Jim the more athletic brother. In coaching smarter trumps athleticism.

Damn right! This is the time of year to start getting excited. Now let the seeding playoffs begin.

Didn't even think about James mimicking Lamar, that's a good choice!

Richie James can't mimick Lamar. I hate when teams feed fans that crap.
