this THE game right here.

I'm a little scared for this game, one cause i don't want to lose to give Seattle a chance to take the division lead. But they do play minnesota. So maybe there is a chance for them to lose too.

Also, im worried because lamar is a mobile QB, probably the best one in the league ATM.

But we have had a few good tests on these, maybe we'll be more prepped and have a better game plan?

We needs the defense at its best for this game.

we also need as many offensive weapons for this game at our disposal as possible. sucks we prolly wont have Ford again...his speed is godlike.

Just want Ford to play at NO against that statue Brees especially when their whole left side of the oline is hurt

Brees HAS shown some escapability in the past with his shorter stature

If Rodgers didnt escape last night no f**king way am i worried about a near 40 Brees, Ive seen a better Brees in the Harbaugh years have some issues with the Fangio D. Once he gets hit and sacked a few times it'll be the same thing we saw last night, on top of that theyre most likely going to be without their left side of the oline

I mean... this would be good for the Niners, right?

Rain would allow the Niners to sell out on the run and make Jackson win via the pass in wet weather. What am I missing?

Let's just hope it's not raining like that Redskins game

Doesn't that neutralize (to some extent) a shifty runner like Jackson?

Lamar is scary. He runs better than both Kyler and Russ. They gave us fita this year. This might be just a bad match up

The way to stop him would be the same though. You can only do so much. We did a pretty good job of holding Murray and Wilson down compared to what they did against other teams. What really strikes me is how John Harbaugh with a QB similar to Kaepernick let the O coordinator design an offense that suited his talents compared to Jim who continued to run the old style O with an occasional run by Kaep. It will be interesting to see if if the pistol will succeed long term or if the NFL defenses will find a way to stop it like every other gimmick.

Sounds logical.

Not sure if you've been following the Ravens games, but for the last 7 weeks, every team has "sold out" on stopping the run. Hopefully the Niners defense can be that team.
Hoping to see the Rams to play desperate, chippy and very physical tonight . . . and then lose in a heartbreaking way at the end.

Yes, but that would be played much different if players did not have the ability cut back due to weather.

I mean, this is basically playoff game for them. They have no shot at the division and it's hard to imagine them getting into the playoffs if they lose this one.

This would be great

Maybe, but he's the shifty offensive player who knows where he's going and it's the defense that needs to plant and react. Walsh used to say the offense always has the advantage because they know where they are going. It could help laterally though if we can stretch him out.

I would think it would favor our defense but a minus on our offense. On balance, I think it's more of an advantage to Baltimore and their heavy run game offense and their good run game defense. I.e. harder to pass when it's bad weather.
Stacking the box, spying, and forcing him to throw into coverage is how we can win.

I think we can force him into some uncomfy scenarios and cause mistakes.

+1
I don't think the rain helps us honestly. They'll still want to run the ball more and it probably hurts our DL. They did play in sh*t weather against Washington so hopefully they learned how to play in those crap conditions but I feel like we'd be better off with no rain(considering how many drops we've had on offense too)

But of course you never know when weather becomes an issue.
