I dreamt we were up by two TDs at halftime. Dream didn't have the 2nd half.

I just saw that the FOX TV announcers for this game are Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis. I don't have a problem with them but I'm surprised they don't have Joe Buck and Troy Aikman doing this game since they are considered the #1 crew. This has to be the best matchup of the day.

I think it's because of the high blowout probability.

Everyone probably thinks we get blown out.

It is not nationally televised. Many parts of the country won't even see it.

I'm surprised Buck and Aikman aren't doing the game - it's an insult to us and the Ravens that Burkhardt and Davis are doing the game.

Thats because its a super bowl preview and the results arent going to be any different than the last few weeks for the niners.
The Raven fans are spitting hard, acting like they are the best team in history. I am not even seeking out comments and they are everywhere I any articles about the game. They are feeing themselves big time right now. I can't imagine what it is like on a Raven fan forum.

I've read their forum and I close the page after reading 2 posts they swear they're a lock for the SB and are going to murder us
Even our own writers think we lose here but Ravens have a short week. Their coaches including Jim Harbaugh have already been studying us. Won't matter. Our guys are playing as a well composed team and with a focus and we're on a mission. You don't do what we've done ALL season long unless you're well coached and locked in.

Ravens seen to be playing on all emotion and intensity whereas our guys seem to be intense while at the same time taking measured strikes at the opponent. Let's see what wins. The ninja or the street brawler

It's going to be so sweet if we pull off this win

They need to get humbled something fierce. That entire team is so cocky, and its really hard to take someone like Ingram seriously. All he does is talk s**t and hype up how great the Ravens are. Whoever said that their offense isn't built to play from behind is absolutely right.

Its absolutely imperative that our defense turn Jackson into an actual QB and not a glorified 3rd running back. Make him think and diagnose what he sees from the defense, and always blast him on RPO plays.

Yep we were down very late in a game where we without Kittle and Sanders, where the run game struggled mightily due to AZ selling out to stop it and where we had a million dropped passes and receivers who were not getting open. Jimmy also threw 2 picks which were also costly.

Context matters and your take on the game omits all context.

OK, you want context? Sure, no problem.

I get the part without Kittle and Sanders, but your point of so-called selling out to stop the run has pretty much become the formula to stop the 9ers' O. It is the norm now. You don't think the Ravens will try to stop the run on Sunday? It will be the same ole story again, stack the box to stop the run and make Jimmy G beat us. And who is to say Jimmy won't throw a couple of picks in this game? We will probably get down pretty fast and Jimmy will have to throw like mad to keep up. Have you any idea how efficient Lamar Jackson's led drives are? Zero punt in 3 games and get this they play all 4 downs and they will convert. On top of that, the 6 drives he led in the Rams game, he scored a TD on every single one of them. I don't know whether you listen to Rich Eisen's interview with MJD, he said Wade Philips changed all sorts of schemes to 6-2 to 6-1 and still couldn't contain him.

Look, we have 16 games in a season and nobody said we would go 16-0, some have said 13-3, others 12-4 or even 11-5. So, the losses have to come from somewhere. For me, I was totally relaxed about the Packers last week, I knew we would beat them no problem. But, this Ravens team? I don't think so. This is a physical a*s team on both sides of the ball. It is a power downhill team which explains the type of personnel they have. Both their O and D-lines are absolutely massive. Their DTs are between 320s and 350. Their DEs are 280. They might not be the most athletic guys out there, but the idea is to out-physical you and punch you in the mouth. Is the same on the offensive side of the ball, their O-line is big, they even have a TE at 270 and they play 3 TEs. The problem is not only do they have the power and physicality to attack you downhill, then they have this zone-read pistol formation stuff with Lamar Jackson to spread things out at the same time.

Again, I have repeatedly said I can only pray that I am wrong. I would totally welcome that as it would mean we would have won the game. But, if I am being perfectly honest with you, based on all available evidence, I just can't see it.

If you choose to stack the box against us then they will be leaving 1 on 1's for Deebo, Sanders and Kittle. Kittle excels in those situations and we already saw how they struggled to defend against Kelce earlier in the year.

I don't know what the size of the 3 man front in base has to do with anything. They play a 3-4 and do a lot of two gapping, which is why they need size up front. Size doesn't necessarily trump skill despite your known affinity for big beats little. Broncos had all that size on the DL in 2013 yet got spanked by a smaller team in the Seahawks in the SB.

I don't know if we will win but the way you look at so called evidence overlooks context and is rooted in emotion.

Also, the Ravens have an undrafted rookie center that will be starting his first game. I don't care if he is the most high speed rookie center in the history of rookie centers, I'd do everything possible to make him uncomfortable, throw a wide variety of matchups, stunts and A gap blitzes at him, give him the kitchen sink and have him second guessing what he is seeing out there. We all saw firsthand how Roman's offense struggled without stability at center. Don't allow him to get settled in by just driving forward and run blocking, make him work and make quick decisions a throughout the game.

I know a guy with a big appetite and he'll bring his own Polynesian sauce:

Good news for the 49ers, because James no nothing Jones thinks the 49ers won't force a punt. Also, Jones made excuses for the Packers loss, because Rodgers stayed in the pocket. At some point there will be a market correction with Jackson and the Ravens, and this week would be nice. The Ravens did it to Kaepernick in the Super Bowl, because they made sure he got hit on the read options even when he handed it off. The Ravens defense is hardly amazing. They shut down the Rams that had a hard time with the Bears that are currently having a hard time with a practice squad QB in Detroit.

Good recollection on how Ravens played Kaep. We should make sure to return the favor.

DJ Jones is really good, he should create some problems for the center
Lamar Jackson is their best player and without him they'll fold. Teams usually double team the opposing team's best player.

I say we should double team Lamar and totally take him out of his game. Our unblocked DE should hit LJ on every RPO play, on top of that put Tartt/Ward as a spy incase he escapes on every play. Smother LJ and we should be able to shut them down.

Also, play Julian Taylor more instead of Sheldon Day to penetrate and collapse the middle with DJ Jones to force Ingram to hesitate and stutter step in the backfield.
