We have to tighten up a bit on our run defense particularly with mobile QBs. Early on against the Ravens they were opening up too many nice lanes for their runners and we were not covering the edge of the field as good as we should have. Things did get a bit better as the game progresses but the damage had been done.

That's a fair one. Special teams too. Coaches still have some issues with their personnel favorites, time management and play calling at times but it's awesome to watch them grow and develop and be in each and every single game.
The only reason our pass blocking has been less than adequate is that Raheem Mostert doesn't get enough reps. He's not only a great tackler on special teams, but an excellent pass protector. He has done everything asked of him despite being held back as the #3 RB. It's time Shanahan wakes up and recognizes Mostert's greatness and starts him. It's almost playoff time and the more reps he gets, the better he is. After all, this is only his first season as a full-time RB and he has proven himself beyond doubt.

I love her work
Mobile QB's hurt us the most.

We beat GBay which was a crucial game.

Next, the Saints - IMO, we'll beat them too.

Both their QB's aren't very mobile.

Seattle & Wilson is and I still feel we'll beat them - it still remains that the mobile QB's are problematic.

I feel it will come down to the Seattle game for #1 seed.
No back that can reliably get a yard or two on 3rd and 4th and short.

We have a bunch of backs who are speed guys and not a single back who can grunt out a hard one yard on 4th and one. This cost us dearly in the ravens game and you saw we didn't even snap from under center at the end of the game.

The closest thing we have is Wilson jr. and he's not reliable enough.

It's going to be trick plays and gimmicks every 3rd and 4th in crucial situations because of this.

Other teams will key in on this.

I would say mobile QBs limit our pass rush the most but I don't think they hurt us. Not one of them has had a stellar game vs us.

We beat Murray twice and dominated Baker. Wilson wasn't impressive through the air and neither was Lamar. We forced turnovers on both of them which teams have struggled to do all season. Obviously we are elite vs pocket passers, but we certainly aren't bad vs mobile QBs

Juice does alright at this. When he was injured what you say is right. We could also use one of our tight ends to fill this role. Celek would barge through no problem at all. Comes down to Kyle being a bit more creative in this area. We have the personnel
Jimmy G's reluctance to move in the pocket or use his legs to create plays and move the chains. He's a statue in the pocket. There's absolutely no reason he can't do more with his legs. That 4th and 1 play in Baltimore is a prime example of a call that we could've used his legs. A fake handoff and Jimmy around the end was a sure fire first down. The Ravens would've never expected it. It's not something you want to do all the time but in tight games late it should be an option.

Maybe he doesn't have the knee for it
Well, considering at this late juncture we're 6 points away from a perfect season, not much. But I'll go with pass protection.
Luck.
