Doesn't Street play the same position as Moore and Blair? Is he on IR or something?

Street was playing inside this off-season but moved to defensive end in preseason out of necessity with the injuries we had out there.

Seems they want him to play inside though, not outside.

My guess is they are looking for Street to replace Sheldon Day as he's a FA in the offseason. And if Valoaga shines as a rotational player, he could potentially replace Ronald Blair as well.

Two lost cost replacements allow em to spend all the money to resign Armstead and extend Buckner.
Could anyone look at the all 22 and do a cut-up on Valoaga from the pre-season? He had 4.5 sacks. I've seen a highlight of one against the Broncos and one against the Cowboys. But he had 2 against the Chargers also. Would like to see those.

Thl? Jonny?
Hope this dude is another find. Bourne, Mullens, Moseley style.

Unless 49ers.com isn't updated Street in on IR.

He can practice and be put on the active roster if they want.

Well, I hope he's practicing. Honestly I really don't know what his status is beyond IR. I have a suspicion he's just being stashed, but I could be wrong. I know he was drafted injured, but my goodness, I wanna see the guy actually play already.

Agree. Our pro-personnel is doing a good job. I think one reason is that our assistant coaches are doing a good job. The better the coach, generally they can find diamonds in the rough. Tomsula - great DLine Coch, horrible HC - was able to find undrafted diamonds Demarcus Dobbs and Ian Williams, great starters for us during the last super bowl run.
Side note after bringing up Valoaga, they replaced him on the PS with Alex Barrett, who also was a former Lion practice squad guy in 2017. Another Kocurek guy I have to believe he wanted here. 6-2 252 build, strong (21 pro day reps in 2017), but lacks great length (32" arms) or timed speed (4.97).

He did play well on the inside in pre-season. SRONGEST GUY ON THE TEAM, and Bronco players in joint practices said he was the strongest player they ever seen (backed up and re-iterated by AA and Buckner). He is a run stuffer. We more or less need to keep our edge rushing on par.
