To be honest, I don't even know or think is a stubbornness issue, I think he simply panics. I think he does that in big games and in critical moments. They just get too big for him if you will. He needs someone who can shout into his ear on the spot and offer a second opinion or even just challenge him straight up when he is making questionable decisions.

I have this nagging doubt in the back of my mind.

Im glad he's our coach, i love him and our team and the position we're in. I look forward to the future.

I agree there appears to be something off during crunch time. Fans see it, the media definitely sees it, and by kyle's own admissions-- he sees it. He second guesses his own playcalls.

I wouldn't even have a problem with it, but i feel like leveraging draft capital to win now warrants some urgency.

We've opened our window and have no idea when it's going to close.

Yeah, this is the importance of knowing the flow of the game. Like Gore or Lynch in the Superbowl, you ride what's working esp. when the defense is on its heal and struggling stopping the run. Kyle seems stubborn around 3 or so topics and this may be one of them.

what If he runs it into a wall doesn't get a 1st down we'd all be complaining about why he ran it vs a Baltimore team stacking the box.

It was the proper call just probably not the right pass play.

It was a great defensive play similar to the one vs Seattle (PBU vs Deebo)

It's nick picky indeed but you go with what's working. No way John was going to leave Kittle open on that play. You go with what's rolling ATM. Passing a short primary and only read right through the middle of a rushing 7-8 man line who knows it's a pass d/t shotgun is going to move the LOS closer to the QB and squeeze the passing lanes. Kittle had no chance on that play. It might have well been a zero blitz to a corner fade. It had about the same probability of success IMHO.
On another matter not even related to wins and losses, I would not shed one tear if the CBS crew that called yesterday's game was fired. They were absolutely horrible. All I heard, all game long, was Lamar, Lamar, Lamar. Lamar this. Lamar that. I love Lamar.

I realize that we are not going to get equal treatment from an openly biased East Coast media. But yesterday's game was just ridiculous.
Lamar Jackson is overrated

Holy hell agreed. They were slobbering all over Lamars knob. I don't think they mentioned once that we are the team with the best record in the NFL it was all about the Ravens win streak.

Yeah it sucked. NFL and media just sucking Jackson's nut while they can. Because sooner or later he will get his bell rung and he'll never be the same. See Cam Newton. And I can't wait. I was wishing it would have been our defense to do it. Maybe in the Superbowl when we see them again.

i think he is the best qb we have seen
I felt we could of won it if Jimmy was given a chance to run one last drive to win it with a TD.

Nah he gave us everything as advertised. A generational runner who also happens to be a pretty decent thrower of the ball. His talents combined with the new extra special protection of the QB position is going to make him a nightmare to deal with until he starts getting tagged in the open field and piles up some injuries.

Get used to it, because the NFL is increasingly rigged from here. This is where the calls start helping the stories fit the narrative the league wants in the playoffs.

I could tell going into the half this was going to be a game where the team that had the ball with a minute to go was going to win it.

I do think he's overrated a little, his talent though isn't deniable and he makes some great plays but there's no doubt in my mind he will fizzle out and go the Kaepernick route and not the Russell Wilson route.

The all22 isn't available yet, but here's the player tracking data from that 4th & 1 play. I've read some say that Kittle was open. I'm not so sure about that. It's close and from the tv broadcast you can see Earl Thomas jump the route. It would have been close.
fyi the pass play was not the original playcall. They checked into it after seeing BAL's presnap alignment. Kyle said this in his presser.
#29 is Earl Thomas
