From that angle it doesn't look like Kittle was open. Earl Thomas was all over that.

The all22 isn't available yet, but here's the player tracking data from that 4th & 1 play. I've read some say that Kittle was open. I'm not so sure about that. It's close and from the tv broadcast you can see Earl Thomas jump the route. It would have been close.
fyi the pass play was not the original playcall. They checked into it after seeing BAL's presnap alignment. Kyle said this in his presser.
#29 is Earl Thomas

Should have went to Sanders to the outside.

Just makes the 4th and short call even worse.

There was nowhere to throw that ball. Defense easily reads Kittle over the middle and gets their hands up.

Maybe would of gotten it if the ball came out quick. Almost as soon as the ball was snapped. But I'm guessing the play wasn't setup for that.

Yeah, this is the importance of knowing the flow of the game. Like Gore or Lynch in the Superbowl, you ride what's working esp. when the defense is on its heal and struggling stopping the run. Kyle seems stubborn around 3 or so topics and this may be one of them.

what If he runs it into a wall doesn't get a 1st down we'd all be complaining about why he ran it vs a Baltimore team stacking the box.

It was the proper call just probably not the right pass play.

It was a great defensive play similar to the one vs Seattle (PBU vs Deebo)

No way!!

You go with the hot hand, is just common sense. You have Mostert who ran for 146 yards and over 7 yards per play who they couldn't stop to save their lives and you want to call for a pass play??!! Are you kidding me?!!

If your stance is correct, then no one has the right to laugh at Pete Carroll for calling for Russell Wilson to throw at the 1 yard line instead of running Beast Mode when they lost the Super Bowl, period!!
The pass play call on 4th and 1 didn't bothered me that much. I think it was the right call with 9 defenders in the box. I just wished we ran a playaction with sure handed Juice leaking out for a quick pass or any quick playaction play. But that's just me.

So an offense that has over 200 yards per game rushing the ball and that is the reason they are a top offense in the league, with a QB that can exploit defenses that cant react as quickly due to the elements because of his running ability (and being protected by refs) is at a disadvantage when relegated to their offensive strength by those elements. Got it!

in good weather, there is no question that the Ravens would have beaten the Niners by at least two TD's.

No, you really are not. F U and those dandy boys from San Fran that actually thought they would beat the Ravens, a team that owns the niners down to their miserable pathetic cuck souls.

That's probably the same thing Kyle was thinking when he said he wish he called a better play

Rewatching this play makes it look even worse than it did irl.

Im glad shanny admitted his fault.

The timing of it all was what sucked.

Damn. Im still bitter. I just have this little voice in the back of my head telling me that we're in for another "what if" season.

Should be laughing at the awful throw more than anything.
So, shanny has shown the league how to stifle the ravens. It'll be interesting to see how other coaches build on shanny's approach to the Lamar dilemma.

If others are able to replicate or improve on the 49ers effort, will Lamar ultimately have to become a "near normal" qb and will that frustrate him too much that he loses his edge to the point of becoming error prone?

No way what? They were bringing the heat on the run and blitzing. Passing was the proper call just not the proper pass play (no one got open). End of the day it was just a good defensive play. It's crazy that people can't accept that and always need to feel the need to blame it on one one.

And bringing up that play in the super bowl isn't close to the same. Horrible take!

They were in the RZ (which is harder to throw because of the short field) AND you seem to have forgotten it was ONLY 2nd down! They had one TO as well.

Nice try but you're wrong trying to bring in that play

Kittle definitely wasn't open. It's not like he can't make a contested catch, but ET is all over this route. ET might have gotten there early but it's not blatant pass interference imo, and he's a seasoned vet that might get the no call similar to how Sherman gets no calls.

Yeah no one was open. Good defensive play and Kyle could have dialed up something better.

Kittle was held all game and I can't believe the number of no-calls for Baltimore (their OL/TEs we're holding a ton as well).

Mods can we ban this guy?

Can you initiate an auto ban on anyone using the word "cuck"?

Just like in good weather when the Ravens lost by 15 to the clown Cleveland Browns right?
