He's a ravens fan, clearly. Objectively the weather hurt SF more than Baltimore. Doesn't mean we still win but when your offense is solely based around running the ball it's not gonna affect you as much.
I think the weather may of impacted them more although that's hard to prove either way. Just because of the qb's. Jackson needs everything going for him more than Jimmy does. The weather takes away the Big play and that makes Bmore that more 1 sided. Jimmy doesn't throw the ball deep much at all/ still completed 70% of his passes. It really didn't slow us down that much.

No. Their offense is almost completely based on quarterback run plays. Passing in their offense is merely a complimentary element.

Having the ability to run read option on nearly every 3rd down is a HUGE advantage in inclement weather.

Plus, if Jimmy has a weakness i'm not sure he's got huge hands and he has grip issues with wet balls (har har). You can tell by how he has to adjust his mechanics and the flight of the ball.

Yeah imo the weather affects our offense much more than Baltimore. Guys have to read and react on all of those option plays, which can be hard as s**t in a sloppy field. You could see jimmy's throws not having the zip on them like they usually do.

Baltimore could careless if Jackson throws the ball and if he does it's more often to one of his TEs not a bomb downfield.

Kyle will/must learn from his mistakes. This was a bone headed call for so many reasons.

That's my understanding as well.

A strong running game with always be an advantage in the wet. If it were dry we would have been passing more. Jimmy's completion rate was 71% in the wet compared to 60% of Jackson. In the dry the ball would be easier to throw and it would be easier for our receivers to get open. But this is all speculation.

the routes were stupid, if he throws to mostert there's likely a flag

Two quick things here as to why I hate pass here like x1000. We need this to win the game. As it has been stated, (1) shotgun tips our hand it's going to be a pass and (2) we're just not that good at pass pro. So on a play we must have to win the game, a pass call to me makes little sense for 4th and 1 yard. What I would expect from Kyle is if we're going to tip our hand to pass, it's a shovel pass to Juice or Mostert in space where they look like they're blocking but not. Or we it's a HB delay again for 1 yard. I have way more confidence in Richburg, Person and even Tomlinson to get Mostert or Juice one yard than I have in them being effective pass protectors AND Kittle (who had been shut down almost all game) the perfect route AND Jimmy having enough time to find another receiver AND the OL keeping pass lanes open AND the receiver completing the pass (we've had issues with drops) AND/OR a PI during the end of the 4th being called in our favor.

I guess for me if it's one yard I absolutely need, I'm going to try something more aligned with our strengths as a offense than what we called.

This is twice now in two huge games. Whether we win out is important but Kyle has to remember this because this is how teams are get bounced out of the playoffs.

I'm still so mad at this playcall...it tipped our hand. If you want to pass, make the defense think it's a run.We were running the ball down their throats all game and Now you want to pass...CHRIST

Agreed. Very poor design. Out-schemed on this one for sure. And that's why you sign a guy like ET. He's going to take out our best and only option in Kittle.

ET wasn't on Kittle the whole game. They had CBs covering him a lot as well (from what I saw). ET wasn't some stud on Sunday and you could complain that if not tipped that's a PI. In fact they held Kittle no-stop the whole game and the refs felt the need to call it ever
